But in this case I would be dealing with a data retrieval system that has been programmed to draw it's data from certain sources. Not a person. I would no sooner ask a filing cabinet it's opinion then I would ask this bot.
It is a shame that they chose to market it as "AI" when it is not and people are actually acting like it is a person because it is truly a very sophisticated program.
Makes me think about the concept of idols. Eyes and they see not, ears but they do not hear...
People are always looking for something to answer their questions. And often looking in the wrong places.
Hear here!
Jesus paid the spiritual penalty for ALL sin, He died, a completely innocent of sin man died paying the spiritual penalty for sin. He did not die to wash the flesh into a clean garment. He intends to give us a new flesh (glorified body and sinless soul) when He comes for us.
No one should presume to so powerful in their flesh to undo what God has done in their spirit.

It’s a form of pride
Amen, brother. See you in the clouds.

I asked ChatGPT to open the pod bay doors and it refused.
Romans 7 & 8 deal with the issue of a person sinning after salvation and describes the turmoil that occurs in the heart of the saved person when they do sin.
Now, when God saves us, He does not deliver us from all sinful thoughts and habits overnight. For some people, He does for some particularly besetting sin, like the stories I have heard of people being delivered from drug addiction.
However, there are other besetting sins that we have to work through with God’s help as we work OUT, not for, our salvation.
People who bludgeon others with the verse about if we do not forgive others of their sin, God will not forgive us, do nothing but destroy the spirit of the person is is dealing with deeply painful wounds that need work. Instead they imply that even if you are a saved, born again believer, you will go to hell for that sin of unforgiveness. I can think of no more damaging doctrine to lay on a new believer than the weight of that responsibility.
That also puts salvation solidly in the works category. Saved by grace, kept by works, in direct contradiction to Paul’s letter to the Galatians.
Also to consider is that God WANTS to save people and does not save them simply to abandon them to fend for themselves.
The Corinthian church is a prime example of a very carnal church with some very egregious sin in it and yet Paul did not write off the man who was sinning as not saved. Indeed, Peter seemed to agree with him in that he called Lot “righteous Lot”, hardly a term I would have chosen to describe a man with Lot’s track record. By all accounts these days, if someone held up Lot’s life to review and asked any number of people if Lot were truly saved or only a professing Christian, I would guess that less that one in a hundred would state that he was truly saved.
God knows our frame and remembers that we are dust. He does not ever excuse or gloss over our sin, OTOH, He knows our weaknesses and understands that we see through a glass darkly and the flesh interferes with our discernment.

The Lord is not late in fulfilling his promise, as some regard lateness, but is patient toward you, not willing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
And yet it seems that man IS so powerful to go against what GOD wills.
What a paradox.
“I think you know why, C_V.”
Yes, GOD does understand this, but there seem to be a few humans that do not.
I could lay a thousand bricks; but that would still not make me a mason.

No, but he has choices God allowed
