Even though it is not mentioned - perhaps that question simply wasn’t known by anyone except Judas and God - it is not out of the realm of possibility as Judas’ main recorded actions indicate a dramatic level of remorse for his treachery. Peter as well denied Christ…once within the gaze of Christ as he did it. We know he was forgiven for it as Peter picked up and soldiered on, he continued in this realm. There are implications in the story that open up the possibility of forgiveness…as there implications, including Judas’ final act, that work against that.
I think of a very funny line in Annie Hall, where Woody Allen’s mother takes a distraught young Woody to the doctor because he is so depressed about the universe expanding until it blows apart, ending everything…his mother exclaims to him in front of the cigarette puffing doctor: “How is that any of your business!”
The question of Judas' final destination is merely of passing academic interest to me. The issue of how far God's grace extends is of inestimable importance and granular pertinence to me: the temporal, temporary universe in which we live positively revolves around it.
Indeed, He created this universe precisely in order to have a field for extending and exercising His grace. As long as it does not end, then the possibility exists--in theory anyway, and imaginations specialize Walter Mittyish in the theoretical--of extending one's life indefinitely, in order to avoid that final accounting at Jesus' Great White Throne. And Woody Allen has made it perfectly clear he has absolutely no defense against it other than the hope of avoidance.
Not "your business"?! Only if His new heaven and new earth are not "your business". For my part, I am reminded of Ebeneezer Scrooge, who learned finally what Jacob Marley told him initially, that "Mankind was your business!"

They are indeed Dan; I’ve never heard of him before. Would love to tour sculpture gardens / galleries.
RE: #14 Gomez, 19th c. Spanish painter.
Thank you etabeta; greatly enjoy this artist’s work.
Leon, routinely you voice enthusiastic approbation and encouragement of others here. I’ve mentioned preciously my recognition that God has blessed you with the Spiritual Gift of Encouragement, which you exercise freely as you ought. It is a sight to behold!
I note it now not to make you self-conscious. Rather, anticipating that you will carry your gift with you into heaven, I muse what a wonder you will be there, extending God’s blessings liberally as one might strew people’s path with rose-petals. Cannot wait to experience the full flowering of you....
Agree with you, InkStone. Your enthusiasm and kindness is truly appreciated on this page.
Dan and etabeta, you’re very kind to say such things, and I thank you sincerely. (yes, a little embarrassed here...)
Not everyone needs encouragement, and sometimes it’s hard to tell who might be in need...
Also, think how often you do things for others, and they don’t even notice. It’s good if we can show appreciation.
