Archbishop Gänswein’s January 9 audience with Francis was less about Gänswein's memoirs, and more about the fact that Francis wanted Benedict’s money, reports AffarItaliani.it (February 7).
Benedict has named Gänswein as the “sole designated heir.” The legacy consists mainly in large revenues from the rights to the many Ratzinger books. Some of which have sold millions of copies. This money is channelled into the Ratzinger Foundation.
But Francis told Gänswein that the patrimony belonged to the Holy See. The rigid Francis is said to have even warned Gänswein of the risk of “excommunication for revealing Church secrets” including conclave secrets.
Since then, Gänswein has not spoken in public.
Ping
Sigh. This venal, treacherous heretic Bergoglio is the apotheosis is everything that has gone wrong with Catholic Church over the last 60 years.
Jesuit Pope - big mistake
Pope Frank compounds the problem
I know God is watching out for His Church and Church body
Hope that there is some push back from other Cardinals. The Ratzinver Foundation needs to stay intact.
Papa Francis never misses an opportunity to show himself to be a weak-minded bully.
A real pity, that.
