Good Morning, Dan. :-)
It is indeed
Since we’ve been freed
A real good morning
Due to our borning
Again
#2, Ghiberti, the great Renaissance sculptor - Bronze panel from Florence Baptistery door.
#4 splendid 13th. c. capital from Spain (I think)
#19 Tissot
#21 Copping
#30 Martin
#37 Jose Casado del Alisal
All in all, great photos, well done, Dan!
I expect Lazarus is also enthusiastic!
There will probably be a history channel show called “the real truth about Jesus raising Lazarus” where they explain away what happened by claiming that it was an elaborate trick by fanatics where theymused puffer fish poison to “make it appear that Lazarus was dead” like the witch doctors do in other lands.
The world would rather beleive a lie than the truth. The history Channel goes to,great lengths to pervert the truth and promote the lies of the evil one. One day though they will have their eyes opened and realize what fools they have been.
Every knee will bow and every tongue confess....
The third and final installment of Lazarus' story has
We arrive at the crux of the whole matter…the power of Christ to defeat death.
The Schroeder perspective is eye-grabbing, this from the viewpoint of Lazarus, brought back from Sheol by the power of the author of life. Simple, yet powerful. The Tissot perspective is unusual as well, if not quite as dramatic.
Not Schroeder…Schrom (auto correct got me again)
Good Morning Dan, and happy mid-week to all.
Such Sculpture and Reliefs, and yes paintings also:
#21 Copping
#29 Dore
What a great gallery in which to meet all those who comment. Thank You Dan!
crux [ kruhks ]noun, plural crux·es, cru·ces [kroo-seez].
1 a vital, basic, decisive, or pivotal point:
The crux of the trial was his whereabouts at the time of the murder.
2 a cross.
3 something that torments by its puzzling nature; a perplexing difficulty.
Origin of crux
1635–45; Latin: stake, scaffold, or cross used in executions, torment; figurative senses perhaps; New Latin crux (interpretum) (commentators') torment, a difficult passage in a text; cf. crucial
Hi, Leon. Always glad to see your cheery greeting!
That’s a nice double-meaning, which I wish I could say I intended…but alas, it just came out that way with no conscious intention on my part!
Scott, you need to learn to recognize when you have allowed the Holy Spirit to speak through you. What fun!
The Spirit is tricksy that way…nod to Tolkien
Gollum and Spirit in the same thought: Yikes!
You can never say my mind is not addled…
If Frodo can outdo Smeagol, so can you! I’ll be your Sam....
