Water Baptism isn’t required for Salvation. Jesus’s conversation with the thief on the cross shows us this.
Apparently you don’t understand Latin.

No worries. Scripture wasn’t written in Latin.
If Christians over time were content to maintain that simple faith, then we’d be deprived of the great works of St. Augustine, the Summa Theologica of St. Thomas Aquinas, and the remarkable apologetics of John Cardinal Newman.
So how do you know your “bible” is a correct translation of the original?
And where does the original define “sola scriptura”?
Sola scriptura isn’t even false. It’s incoherent. If scripture is the rule of faith, where is scripture to be found, and how are you to know?

There are many translations spanning from literal to dynamic. All can be compared to the original manuscripts.

“Sola scriptura”: it doesn’t exist; never did.
And why are there “many” translations of the Bible? They all can’t be true to the original.
And what in the heck is a “dynamic” translation? Is that like your “living Constitution”?
Now you’re talking about “interpretation”, not “translation”. And that’s where y’all go haywire.

I can see you’ve never translated, nor studied bibliology.
I can translate latin to english; something you apparently can’t do.
What’s your specialty? Klingon?
“Bibliology” isn’t in scripture; neither is sola scriptura.

Neither is Catholic.

But has nothing to do with scripture, so …
I studied Biblical Greek and translation.
“Priests live at/next to the Church, so they’re there to serve the people.”
That’s why non-RC pastors mostly live next to their churches, too.
“Infant baptism is not in the New Testament.”
That issue is why my ancestor was burned at the stake in 1611 in England. He refused to baptize his infants.
I am not familiar with the history of Lutheran baptismal practices, but I am too much aware of how, over the past century, they have swallowed general Protestant theology.
The baptismal liturgy from the Lutheran Service Book (LCMS) can be found here, http://lsb.cph.org/samples/LSB_Sampler.pdf Not sure how much of that is swallowing general protestant theology or why?
The rite in LSB is decent, but it omits a procession from outside the Church, and omits exorcism, both of which teach/practice the Faith explicitly in terms of alienation by nature. Both the Lutheran and Roman Catholic rites reject the teaching the Holy Baptism is merely a symbol of commitment on the part of believers.
