Thank you etabeta. We follow you thru the gallery...
Thank you, Alba. Artistic support for this text was somewhat minimal, but your review was full.
Always a pleasure to hear from you, Leon.
God knew where it was all along............................
A great story Dan; God has certainly blessed you.
Proverbs 31:10-12
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
Jesus seized Sunday from them, because--say it with me--"the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."
Sounds like you know her, for that is an apt description. Indeed, I did not find her; rather, God brought us together, unquestionably.
The other day I needed to create a new password, so: CherylWasGod’sFirstGiftToMe.
Gleaning! That’s what I do here. Oh, my aching back!
Have never seen that, Alba; indeed, it’s the first work I’ve seen depicting the apostles’ post-crucifixion misery. It’s tremendous, and I’m grabbing it for future use.
You’re a blessed man, thank-you for sharing ✝️
Owning every day! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.Johnny... Cash... made the big announcement with his ingenious rebuilt Temple allegory, One Piece at a Time. "You'll know it's me when I come through your town."
Of course how could he have meant it that way, which is a big part of the charm.
Sneaks right up on people, like a thief!
"But up there at the courthouse they didn't laugh, 'cause to type it up it took the whole staff.."
I saw this painting yesterday and I knew you would grab it.
From some notes I wrote down: “Albert Edward Bailey, writing in The Gospel in Art, sees “not a ray of hope on any face.” Peter’s head is in his hands; John wears a pained expression. “What that ‘Holy Saturday’ meant to these bewildered disciples in anguish, deep-seated longing, and unspoken sorrow, only those who have loved much and lost can ever know.”
Forty-five years and counting. You might imagine—and you would be correct—that the same God Who brought us together has continued to bless us, as you said. Because that’s how He rolls...............................
Thank you, Ezekiel, for blessing us so abundantly.
And yet, unbelievably, two things occurred to extend their grief:
(1) rather than appearing in the apostles' midst immediately after seeing Mary at the tomb at sunrise, Jesus waited ALL DAY, spending hours and hours with the two disciples of Emmaus
(2) somehow, Thomas managed to miss Jesus' visit altogether, and he had to wait a WEEK
Absolutely. Congrats, may you celebrate many more.
Just like the ‘Ten Lost Tribes’. They are not lost, God knows where each and every one of them are. And yes, they are still here.....................
