There is a proverb that says, "Boast not about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth." (Proverbs 27:1) This points to the unexpected situations or events of life that may alter or end our plans. It helps us to put our lives into proper perspective and consider what is most important.
During the "Monday Night Football" game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills on Jan. 2, 2023, millions of viewers watched in dismay and horror as one of the players collapsed on the field and was unresponsive after making a routine tackle. Damar Hamlin, a 24-year-old safety for the Buffalo Bills, suffered a cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. He was later revived and has recovered sufficiently to return home to Buffalo, New York. It is uncertain whether he will be able to play football again.

Because the questions about what happens after this life – 'Where will you spend eternity?' – as you mentioned, Anderson, are coming up for all of us, not just for the football players. But thank God that He provides an answer through His Son Jesus Christ."

Have you been genetically altered?
Thanks for the reminder. Each day could be our last before we are judged by King Jesus Himself.
I am an Eternal Being. I try not to let the little things bother me.
Brings up an interesting question. Do souls who died breath air?
Breath Air and/or Eat ?
Probably....
Or not.
.
Your right. Excellent article. And the second of your recent posts to reference the Titanic.
We are not guaranteed a tomorrow according to Scripture.
And when that last breath comes,, religion will not availeth Salvation. Only faith in the shed Blood of Jesus Christ will bring Salvation.
Many religions today place “their” gospel above the Word of God. Here is what the Holy Ghost inspired the Apostle unto the Gentiles to write:
Galatians 1:8-9
King James Version
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Good Post!
I heard today that Damar received Eight million bucks in his Philanthropy Program.
And some people live with that awareness of that pressing in on us on a daily basis.
It’s much easier to live when distracted by things that keep us from focusing on it.
There are those who look at the crucifixition of Christ and think, "Oh, how He suffered". Others may think, "Jewish leaders and Rome' were so evil killing an innocent man.
All these sentiments are thoughtful but they will not save us from hell.
Jesus' blood, His death --- is payment (propitiation) for the sins of every person. Until a man sees that Jesus' blood, his sacrificed life, is the payment for his sins - he will mistakenly believe that his own righteousness or his sense of justice or his attempt to keep the law of Moses - will please God and allow his entrance to heaven.
"I am the way, the truth and the life. NO MAN comes to the Father but through Me!" - Jesus
Amen!!!
Very well Put!
It is our faith in the finished work of Christ, having shed His Blood for the payment of our sins.
Our debt has been paid in full. Jesus paid the price through His Atonement.
