No it doesn’t. Messing with the Churches is tyrannical and not justified by anything.
Why don’t you tell that to Russia which effectively banned every church but the official state church.
“Ain’t no woke here.”
Noted and no offense intended.
In our part of the country every time we see a Prius they’re always from out of state, they are ALWAYS speeding, and they’re always rude about our pickup trucks...right up until they need you and your pickup truck to get them out of a mess!
It’s crazy how many of them will take these city cars on steep mountain roads that I don’t feel safe driving in a Polaris. Then they get stuck and they’re amazed that AAA won’t come and get them.
If you’re ever out in Wyoming then along the Shoshone River heading towards Needle Mountain you’ll find a blue Prius that drove off a cattle track. It’s all shot up now but the point is the fool drove it in so far! It’s just crazy.
You're supposed to use the appropriate tool for a given task. But there are still folks who will use a pair of pliers as a hammer, or a butter knife as a pry-bar.
Around here (Upstate NY, Ithaca area) a Prius is a 3-season strictly on-road vehicle. I put snow tires on mine so I can use it in clear winter situations, but it's still 2WD low-clearance, so it doesn't get much use other than groceries.
The pickup is a beast, necessarily so for snow-plowing my hilly, wooded gravel driveway, and hauling stuff around. And it gets chains for winter, otherwise even that would have trouble on the steep parts.
Following a cattle track in a Prius? I laughed myself silly reading that. :-)
Putin’s attitude towards religion is purely utilitarian. The church’s function is to convince its people and normalise something that is unnatural - for example, a war against a “fraternal people”.
From the era of Stalin, the Russian Patriarchate has been closely cooperating with Russian secret services. That was Stalin’s deal. In 2002, Patriarch participated together with the head of FSB in the opening of the Saint Sophia Church in downtown Moscow which was considered an open recognition of their special relationship.
As to the rest of the nation, less than 5% of ethnic Russians are regular churchgoers.
