PARALYTIC AT THE POOL OF BETHESDA |
Good Morning Dan, and a joyful Saturday to each of you!
A fine continuance of miracles presented by our Savior. Sometimes I wonder if He healed intentionally on the Sabbath, to reveal hypocrisy.
#5 Hole
#15 (artist unknown)
#16 Copping
Dan, much appreciative of you many hours of labor to bring us this Bible Art Ministry =:^)
Good Morning, Dan. :-)
All are fine examples of this miracle. #3 by Bloch, the great Danish painter well known for his depiction of the ministry of Christ.
#6 by Murillo.
There is some symbolism in the painting by Ramsey at #10. Christ stands between the paralytic and the waters of the pool. The pool represents the false hope of men for healing, Christ, with his larger than life figure, is intentionally obstructing the superstition of men with the promise of eternal healing represented by the sky and the light emanating from above. Very compelling.
#16 by Copping; #19 and #30.
#11 is so tight, it almost looks like a photograph
Jesus is The Light in #11 and #16, but ever so quiet and gentle
#15 and #30 also nice works
