ANNA Duggar will be “blamed” for her husband Josh’s child pornography charges based on church teachings and beliefs that she “didn’t satisfy him enough.”
Josh, 34, was arrested on child pornography charges in April 2021 and was sentenced to 151 months in prison after a two-week trial.
In an exclusive interview with The U.S. Sun, former Duggar family friend Mary Murphy revealed churchgoers blame Anna, 34, for her husband’s sick actions.
Mary is a second-generation survivor of IBLP, the religious sect the Duggar family belongs to and what she considers to be a cult.
Mary, who hosts the podcast Out of the Shadows with Mary Murphy, told The U.S. Sun: “One aspect of the cult culture centers on the responsibility of females to meet the husband’s every single sexual need to prevent him from having affairs, sexually abusing children and watching pornography.
“If the husband does any or all those things, they blame the wife in a large part. Like, ‘Oh, if you met his needs he wouldn’t have done this.’”
“They’re going to blame Anna. The pornography goes back to Anna. The wife is not fulfilling his needs so he turned to pornography, poor him. The wife needs to do what she’s supposed to do and meet his needs. It’s not logical.”
She continued: “I’m not surprised Anna is supporting him because that’s what she is being told, it’s her responsibility. Growing up in this culture, she’s turning that responsibility inward on herself and blaming herself. I’m not surprised she hasn’t left.

Yeah, that creepy Duggar clan is bad news. You can be sure Josh made a habit of molesting his younger sisters as soon as he hit puberty. And there were plenty of them to choose from.

The “church leaders” should be ashamed. He committed adultery according to Jesus’ definition. (The age was just lower) I hope she can find a more accepting fellowship.
Realistically she can’t. If she tries to, she will lose all family support, esp financial support. No education or job skills and 7 kids with no help - this is part of how fundamentalist cults trap women.

If he had killed someone, would these people say she didn’t let herself be killed to satiate him, so she was responsible?

I’d be surprised if there was any truth to this. Sounds like BS to me. A guy who isn’t being sexually satisfied at home might start looking at other women if he lacks strength of character, but he doesn’t suddenly start to fancy children. This all sounds like sensationalist BS.
It’s the same sort of argument used to destroy the Catholic priesthood. Subversives say “Golly if only priests could marry, they wouldn’t molest so many children.” If unmarried priests were to stray, they would go out and have sex with WOMEN, not ten year old boys. This ridiculous argument is to hide the fact that the problem is that so many priests are homosexuals now, since Vatican II, and homosexuals molest children at far greater rates than normal people.
I suspect that this campaign against the Duggars is similar: discredit them and their church any way you can, all while avoiding the obvious fact that Josh is a likely pedophile and pedophiles molest children because that is their nature, not because of deprivation.

It's not BS. I heard an attorney, years ago, say a man turned to young boys because his wife was cold and wouldn't satisfy him. Not everyone has a functioning brain.
Unless somebody steps up with a home that is open to them, probably not.

It is generally the Roman Catholics who don’t allow divorce, and even they make exceptions.
Rape being a death penalty offense, and child sexual abuse being rape, she is perfectly free to divorce him. She’d get alimony and child support as well.
There are many women who manage on just welfare, often perjoratively insulted on FR as “baby mamas.” She’d get that, too. She can come by and see us, we would help her.

Its actually a totally separate issue.
She may or may not have satisfied him. My guess is either way, it doesn’t really factor in.
Both for men and women.
