Replacement Theology is a misnomer. The Jews weren't "replaced" by God. They chose to leave.

God didn't leave the Jews. The Jews left God when they rejected Christ. But they can always return by accepting Christ.

The Catholic Church used to pray every Easter for Jews to come to Christ. Then Jewish groups complained, so the Church ditched the prayer sometime after Vatican II.
