1 Thess 1:10 is where Paul settled the issue of whether those in Christ will be here during Jacob's Troubles or not. Again, it is my studied opinion that the Day of Christ ends the Age of Grace with the sudden departure of All living believers, and the Day of The Lord, that Great and Terrible Day (the Bible defines the Day of The Lord that way), well that is the entire seven years of tribulation, during which God puts an end to sin in Israel.

The Day of Christ is an event of removal, then the Day of the Lord is a period of God's judgment upon the unbelievers.

I enjoyed your post, MHG, and would like to add:

Php_1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

This verse concerning the day of Jesus Christ also speaks of eternal salvation.

There’s a lot of folks who wish to test their might before God and Satan in a battle of wits.

Can they make the “cut”?
Do they have what it takes to make it?
Do they have enough faith?

I’m rubbing my hands together just wondering how many big mouths here have what it takes to endure the torture and mayhem that the Son of Perdition will bring upon the Earth.

These people have a Martyr Complex.

Nope, they are interchangeable. You are wrong.

“Young’s Literal Translation has either “the day of our Lord Jesus Christ”, or “the day of our Lord Jesus”, or as in 2 Thess. 2:2, “the day of Christ”. The meaning is the same meaning as was used throughout the OT for “the day of the Lord.”
