But, I feel confident knowing that once the Mark of the Beast issue is past and the plagues are about to fall, that many will have been marked with the seal of God, and will be protected from death until they see Christ coming in the clouds at the second coming. However, those who have the Mark of the Beast will feel the full wrath of the plagues. Any of those persons left alive when Christ returns will die at His brightness. I suspect that most Christians that believe in the PTR will have taken the MOTB, and will be lost. Sad, but true.
The Israelites had to put the blood on the door post and lentil to avoid the death angel coming into their homes for the first born. Noah had to be in the Ark before the waters came. The Angel told Lot that the angel could do nothing until Lot was outta there. Paul explained in 2 Thess 2 that the lawless one could not rise to power until the Restrainer was taken out of the way, and the Restrainer is in the spirit of EVERY born again believer forever, so the believers needs be taken outta the way before the satanic powers can rise to power over the Earth.
The Holy Spirit always talks to those who are The Lord’s.
We know how this goes down.

The issue Paul addresed in 2 Thess 2 was the lie that the departure Day of Christ had already happened. Reading 2 Thess 2 with that in mind opens the passage to reason.

If Lot hadn’t left, UNDER THE PROTECTION OF THE ANGELS, he would have been consumed along with the rest of the city.

It’s becoming clearer that some who rant the loudest and most often have never actually read the Bible. Seems that they have been taught sections of it by leaders of their organization with their own self-serving, unique spin upon the passages. The way of the cults, in other words.
Nope. It was only until AFTER Lot and family agreed to leave that the angel said it. Had Lot NOT agreed to leave, he would have been consumed with the rest of the city. If lot had said “nope, I’m just going to stay here and hang out”, he would have been consumed.
The angels had to forcibly lead them out of the city, because Lot was lingering...THE LORD BEING MERCIFUL UNTO HIM.
16And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
Had the Lord not been merciful, and the angels led Lot and family out of the city, they would have been consumed.
