Well, she passed away in January and the last payment from them was late December.

No one answers the phone, even when you call the main line. Same with Wells Fargo. You will die of boredom before anybody answers the phone. Their phone system goes in circles, press 1 for this, press 2 for that, all the way to 9 the you get a whole new set of numbers to press 1 for this and 2 for that...............

I think I am off on the date. She was paid around January 2 and passed away January 29. That was for the month of December. Had she received a payment in February, then that’s different. That would be for January and she wouldn’t be entitled. Either way, SS says they screwed up.

We had a local case here a while back where a woman died and her daughter kept the body in a freezer so she could still collect the SS checks.......................

That’s sad. For a few hundred or maybe a thousand dollars.

IIRC, it took 6 months for her to get caught..................
