Why do we have to be ‘born again’? I was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith. Isn’t that enough?

Because if you’re not Born Again, you’re headed to hell.

Baptism doesn’t do anything for anybody - these days it’s nothing more than a ceremony. It’s also considered a work.

If you read Romans 10:9-13, it details exactly what a person must do/believe to be “born again” and be saved.

What does it mean to be a born again Christian?

Being baptized is being born again 8-). Confirmation is a good idea but not biblically required.

John 3:3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”

I have a hard time wrapping my head around someone identifying as a Christian with no knowledge of one of the most fundamental aspects of the Christian faith.

Even Catholics should crack a bible open occasionally.
