JERUSALEM—The Bible describes a remarkable event that will take place during the “last days” of history before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
It is most often referred to as the “Rapture” and it involves the sudden “catching away” or “snatching away” of true, born again followers of the Lord Jesus.
On Monday, I wrote a column about why some Christians and Messianic Jews believe the Rapture will happen one day on our around the Jewish High Holidays in the Fall.
Today, in Part 4 of this “Wake Up Call” series, let’s look more closely at the Biblical basis for the Rapture, especially since many Christians don’t understand it or even believe that it will really happen.
Why?

I would add that any Christian who has not been Baptized should be.
The question was about being born again however.
The order of salvation/being born again is:
1. Belief
2. Confession
3. Calling upon Jesus
Too many folks confuse Baptism and include it in the above list. There was a poster above who even stated that he was Baptized and thought it was “enough” - he’d be wrong.
Paul also writes about Baptism in 1 Corinthians 1:17
For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.
“Even Catholics should crack a bible open occasionally.”
That is mighty ambitious to think that. I’m a former Roman Catholic, and I know how the Catholic mind thinks.
Hence the importance of Being “Born Again”. It’s a transformation from spiritually dead to spiritually alive - and forever.
I hope and pray that poster takes enough time to search Scripture for themselves and be triple sure about their status with The Lord.
You believe the word “Rapture” is in the Bible, you say? In what book of scripture would that be?
It’s in the Latin version.
If you want Greek it’s Harpazo.
I’m not going to further engage a closed mind not willing to accept Biblical truth.
Hope you enjoy you day!
They also claim that they are the “saints” returning with Christ at the second coming. Nope. There is no rapture and they are not the “saints” returning with Christ at the second coming.
Deut 33:2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.
An article I found on the internet specific to the subject

You must mean a Latin translation, as the original Bible texts are obviously not in Latin. Where exactly in this translation?
I’m not going to further engage a closed mind not willing to accept…
Running for cover already? Simply because I won’t accept words presented that aren’t actually in the Bible? Wonder what other heresy is floating around in that “open mind” of yours you’re so proud of.
