When America was formed, the foundation was God; the Founding documents were drawn from a Judeo-Christian ethic. Today, God has been shown the door, along with right and wrong. Today, everything is right and nothing is wrong. The distinction between good and evil is passé.
When Time magazine's 1966 cover asked, "Is God Dead?," many cheerfully shouted "YES!," but they had no idea what they were cheering. God is not dead. He is very much alive and doing what He does — He acts. He has kept America alive as a free nation for now. God is not only not dead; He is not inactive, either. But He is cheesed off. We kicked him out of schools, out of the public square, out of businesses, and even out of churches in some cases. There will be judgment.
Did you know there is an atheist chaplain at Harvard? He said this:

"We don't look to a god for answers. We are each other's answers."
Meaning we are all gods with the answers. If you are an atheist psychologist or ethicist, perhaps that is true. You don't look to God. But anyone, especially one who calls himself a "chaplain," who says the answers come solely from "each other," is sadly mistaken. Human beings, with few Solomonic exceptions, are not known for being cosmically wise or having the best answers.

It’s quite possible that people are disillusioned by the extreme left takeover of Christian churches across the country. Most churches are more about preaching the religion of open borders, gay and trans rights.

I've read that the decline in church membership is among the lefty "mainline" churches that preach from the Gospel of Dims, but that the real churches are growing in membership. We may be looking at less pseudo Christians (IMHO a good thing) and more real Christians. I count it as a two-fer.

In Romans 1:18-32 there is listed certain fruits associated with being turned over to depraved minds. Those fruits are not the cause of being turned over to depraved minds but a consequence of it. I would suggest that when you see such fruit on display it is a sign, a warning provided by the Lord to others about the spiritual condition of those displaying the fruit of depravity. Flee from any religious fellowship with those displaying these fruits!
A nice building and a family history of going to a particular congregation is not worth what fellowship with depraved people can bring. If the faithful cannot put them out, or even try to bring discipline of any sort to bear, because they have grown too strong then the faithful should depart for another buildings. Buildings mean nothing in the long run.

The problem is that even by the secular ethical standards men are going to be condemned for their sins, just as those who are aware of the law are condemed for their sins.
Only two ways to heaven. Never sin or be forgiven. And scripture tells us nobody but Jesus accomplishes “never sin” and Jesus was God.
God won’t judge by some Bell curve of humanity. Or some sliding scale where if you are closer to Mother Theresa than Adolf Hitler, you’re okay. It’s not the Islamic scales of justice where if your good deeds are 51% and evil deeds 49% you’re okay.
God judges by his own standard which is perfection. “Be ye holy for I am holy”. “Be ye perfect for I am perfect”.
Only one sacrifice was made for forgiveness. Jesus.
For a lot of christians, the theme is WE ARE ALL GOING TO HEAVEN,GOD WOULD NEVER SEND ANYONE TO HELL....So,if we are all going to heaven, why bother giving up the Sins you love........
IMHO people have become a lot less tolerant and patient with hypocrites who fill church pews.
Seems to me the US pretty much decided to start throwing God out of the country during the 60s when the hippy craze started. That move has been growing since then. Now we have the fruits of those labors ... 63 million babies murdered ... rampant crime ... school systems (from universities on down to el/hi) teaching kids perversion instead of the 3 Rs ... millions of illegal aliens crossing an open border which is against Federal LAw ... And a President who claims to a devout catholic yet supports all of the above.

I will say if you don’t feel a satanic presence. At least several times a week , either you meet someone, or you walk by them, or you get a letter or you see it on TV. Then you are already in his bag and why bother chasing something you already own.
Its far safer to get closer to God when in times of trouble than to run away from him. The hard part is staying close to God in good times because the natural thing to do is to rely on yourself.
