I do the same thing. Whenever a symptom appears, I load up on the Word.

Read it out loud - so it will pass through the eyes and the ears - "Let them not depart from thine eyes..." Proverbs 4:20-24

Confess it, personalize it, believe it in my heart -  I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. (Mark 11:23)

Play Bible confessions throughout the night - “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night - (Joshua 1:8)

Establishing our faith on His Word is pleasing to the Father - And without faith it is impossible to please God - (Hebrews 11:6)

I will share one testimony. I left work one day because I was experiencing some very troubling, and obviously serious symptoms. I could not afford to miss work, or go to doctor or hospital. God was literally my only option. Fear creeped in as I saw myself having to be rushed to a hospital for emergency surgery and thousands of dollars in medical debt I might never pay off. Not to mention all the evil thoughts of what would happen to me physically.

I started in the car drive home, almost in tears confessing the Word. I have a couple of books of healing verses, so I began confessing them as I paced the floor. When I had tried to lay down before, I got nauseous, so I had stayed upright and moving until I just had to lay down. I hit play on a CD with healing verses, and quoted them along with the narrator until I fell asleep. And occasionally I threw in one of my favorites - When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. (Proverbs 3:24)

I slept so well that night. I woke up without my alarm clock and felt fine. Ate a little breakfast, and felt even better. All symptoms were gone, and have never returned. Praise God!

I am not an expert on this. I have made some mistakes. But I believe if our bodies our God's Temple, He has provided the means for them to be whole.

19 Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NLT

In context, this verse is about sexual sin. But one of the results of this is often sickness, so I believe its meaning can be expanded. I can't imagine Jesus desiring even a hangnail in His Body. That is why He endured those stripes and the horror of the cross. Just as the serpent lifted up in the desert provided healing to all who were bitten, so too can we look to Jesus to be healed of the old serpents attacks today.
