[Catholic Caucus] ‘Mass of the Ages’ trilogy aims to show Francis who traditional Catholics really are

On today's episode of The John-Henry Westen Show, 'Mass of the Ages' director Cameron O'Hearn discusses what's coming in the third and final episode, as well as what motivated him to produce the series.

(LifeSiteNews) — Cameron O’Hearn, the director of the Mass of the Ages trilogy, was kind enough to join me on today’s episode of The John-Henry Westen Show.

The timing of Mass of the Ages could not have been better, given the huge controversy surrounding the Latin Mass since Pope Francis asked bishops to severely restrict it.

O’Hearn told me he’s just trying to “stay out of the way” while the Lord does His work.

“It can only be seen as providential, because this isn’t a master plan I have. This is the Lord’s work,” he said. “And the more I stay out of the way, the more good He seems to do.”

Through the docuseries, O’Hearn explained, traditional Catholics have an opportunity to show Pope Francis that they’re faithful sons and daughters of the Church who desire to worship God in a most reverent way. They’re not budding “schismatics” or “rigid dogmatists.”

“[Francis] has a perception of who the Latin Mass Catholics are and why they attend Latin Mass,” he said. “He doesn’t understand it. He’s spoken publicly that he thinks they have a mental problem.”

“His experience of the Latin Mass is always second-hand, and unfortunately his perception is influenced by the loudest people in the room,” he added. “I’m thrilled that, yes, Episode 1 was opportune, Episode 2 kind of upset the apple cart and did a lot of good. But Episode 3, I think, is really our flagship film that’s going to put a new face on the Latin Mass movement.”

I asked O’Hearn to give us a brief overview of the upcoming third and final episode, which you can learn more about by listening to today’s episode below. P.S. Don’t forget to check out Episodes 1 and 2 of Mass of the Ages here!
