Regular session of the Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church was held in Moscow on August 25, presided by Patriarch Kirill.
"We are meeting at a time when, as you know, all is not quiet in the expanses of Holy Russia. Many people are suffering today, really suffering, but this suffering did not begin now, as some claim, but has continued for the past eight years," said the Patriarch Kirill in his opening address. - A great many people in Donbass have indeed been subjected to tremendous distress. And wherever justice is violated, there is always resistance to injustice, and this entire eight-year history of suffering has brought its fruits today."
The Russian Orthodox Church has been advocating peaceful solution of the Ukrainian crisis, but Patriarch Kirill reminds that peace is unattainable without cessation of repressions and restoring justice which is the objective of the present military operation of the Russian Armed Forces:
"Our Church always carries the word of peace, of reconciliation; the Church can have no other word," - the Patriarch continued. - "But one cannot say 'peace' without speaking of justice. Peace without justice is what perpetuates human suffering, and peace without justice will not last."
"Let us pray that all these events will end as quickly as possible, that peace and justice will descend on the land of Donbass, that opportunities will arise for the peaceful existence of people, for the further economic, spiritual and cultural development of these regions," His Holiness concluded.
“When your “candle” endorses genocide murder and destruction, I guess you’re right.”
Link please, regarding “genocide”.
No, you're never right.
You already said in your last post three months ago that this isn’t a “Conservative” website, because it doesn’t agree with your deranged globalist warmongering stance.
Guess you prefer the boot licking to be that of Soros, eh ?
I do not think so.
The gates of hell will not prevail against the one true church.
Although I am not Orthodox I do believe Orthodoxy is the simple truth.
I have been looking for a long time and have come to believe completely in Orthodoxy, but will always be grateful to the Latins for preserving the Shroud. It, above all, has shown me that the Jewish Messiah Yeshua is truly the Son of God.
Ahh
So I am right.
You have to call others to help you beat the posters who have better arguments than you.
Ukraine War Divides Orthodox Faithful

In a russians world defending yourself is deranged and globalist. You are on a conservative side defending soviet attrocities and thinking.
your russian douchebag country is a hemorrhoid on the world.
Nope. You present a false dichotomy.
Come to think of it, there isn’t enough left of you to make a capful of glue.
Fun fact: The Soviet Union collapsed 31 years ago. Did somebody inform you of that ? Some of you old bots still think it exists and are still fighting a war from 50 years ago.
I present a fact. You just squeal when the truth comes out.
“I present a fact.”
No, you presented an insult - and it isn’t factual.
“You just squeal when the truth comes out.”
Pointing out that you posted a false dichotomy is not a squeal. It’s just a statement of fact. Someone can disagree with you and not be a “bootlicker of Soros”. What I just posted is perfectly logical and rational. Most likely your impulse will be to respond with another insult. I hope you prove me wrong on that score at least. It would do you credit.
Wrong. You and your ilk post leftist globalist warmongering spam from Soros central, and on a Conservative website.
You’re on the wrong website, Boris. Zelenskyfanbois can go to DU or Stormfront.
“Wrong.”
No, I’m 100% right on this.
“You and your ilk post leftist globalist warmongering spam from Soros central, and on a Conservative website.”
Posting something that is pro-Ukrainian may just be pro-Ukrainian. I actually believe - and have always believed - in Ukrainian independence - even long before I sat down every day at someone’s kitchen table to learn some Ukrainian (before I studied Russian) back in the day when there was still a U.S.S.R.
“You’re on the wrong website, Boris.”
Nope. I’m right where I belong.
“Zelenskyfanbois can go to DU or Stormfront.”
I’m not a Zelensky fanboy, but I think he has more courage than you do.
I'll make it plain for you. Everything you believe on this subject is not only just simply wrong, it's demonstrably and unequivocally wrong. Completely and thoroughly wrong. So entirely and astonishingly wrong. In other words, you're wrong.
“I’ll make it plain for you. Everything you believe on this subject is not only just simply wrong, it’s demonstrably and unequivocally wrong.”
I believe Ukraine should be an independent country. You’re saying that’s wrong?
I believe the U.S.A. and NATO violated previously made agreements by encouraging Ukraine to join NATO when they previously agreed not to do that. You’re saying I’m wrong?
“Completely and thoroughly wrong. So entirely and astonishingly wrong. In other words, you’re wrong.”
Look at the two statements I just posted. Now go on and tell me I am wrong on those two points. Go on. Show how few your principles really are.
Ukraine had 31 years to prove it could manage its affairs as a separate nation. It summarily failed, ending up as the most corrupt state in Europe. I’ve stated before I believe it was a mistake to separate it from Russia, because it was an intricate, historical part of it. Other than for the Baltics, there was no way to definitively know how many former Soviet states could be stable, independent nations, as the remainder had been parts of the Russian Empire.
As for American failures, both inwards and outwards, those are legion. NATO, as I’ve also stated, has no business even existing at all. It fulfilled its purpose with the collapse of the Soviet Union. Now it’s just a massive warmongering military bureaucracy that we the taxpayers are on the hook for.
We should stay out of European affairs, and most everything else, for that matter. We’ve got too many problems domestically that need our undivided attention. Getting involved in civil wars thousands of miles away is almost inevitably a fiasco.

I’m giving you a second chance to show you’re a person of principles. Will you take it or fail again?
Thanks for proving my point. You have no principles.
