"Few things are as deafening as silence"
Bianca Jagger, Mexico's ex-President Felipe Calderon and Pulitzer Prize winner, Andres Oppenheimer criticise Pope Francis for not commenting on recent events in Nicaragua. There, dictator Daniel Ortega has closed down Catholic radio stations and placed a bishop under house arrest.

Francis and Ortega are cut from the same cloth.
Pope Francis: OK, I support my fellow-traveller marxist Ortega 100%. He's doing God's work. Are you happy now?
Bianca-is she or is she not an airhead?
“Francis and Ortega are cut from the same cloth.”
Ortega is an activist.
Francis is a passive idiot.
Not. I’ve heard that Bianca is regularly seen at Mass at the Brompton Oratory in London. She’s ok in my book, and is likely a much better Catholic than Bergoglio.
She used to be a Sandinista and Ortega supporter but I guess she believes differently now.
He’s already done it in China, so why not Nicaragua?
Francis seems pretty active in changing the Catholic Church, and acting like a dictator in the process.
It’s standard jesuit practice. Recall that fernando cardenal, a jesuit priest, served on ortega’s initial cabinet.
“Francis seems pretty active in changing the Catholic Church, and acting like a dictator in the process.”
He is just following orders.
I imagine one clue is that she lives in London.
Bianca is said to be a conservative Catholic.
Isn’t that last a really low bar?
The Jesuit love for Ortega goes all the way back to his early days in the Sandinistas.
The Pope has been crickets on Hong Kong too.
Given a choice between communists, heretics and Catholics this “Pope” always picks the communists and heretics. Always.
Sadly, yes, Bergoglio is the lowest of low bars.
You are correct. And his consistency in that regard really does raise questions about whether Bergoglio was actually “mentored” in the 1950s by communist Ester Ballestrino, as the story ... or whether he was *recruited* by her.
Leftist liberation theology is near and dear to this Pope’s heart...even when you strip all the religion out of it.
