On his flight back to Rome from Canada on 29 July, Francis said that "you can't do theology if you put a 'no' in front of it" - as if anyone ever said so.
He added something about "theological development," referring to an immoral publication on contraception by the Pontifical Academy for Contraception and Polygamy (formerly: For Life), which doesn't contain a "development" but a break with the Catholic faith.
Francis claimed that its authors had "done their duty" because they had tried to "advance" [= counteract] doctrine. Knowing he was guilty, Francis then became aggressive and raged against those "who call themselves traditional". He insulted them as "backward-looking" and "rootless", while Francis himself seems to have abandoned the Faith and returned to pre-Christian paganism.
"It has always been done this way, it was done this way in the last century," he distorted the arguments, and of course was unable to quote a theologian who argued this way.
Francis called a pope's resignation a "normal option" - which is historically not true - and said he had never considered resigning but might do so "the day after tomorrow". Everyone knows that he clings to power tooth and nail and will never resign voluntarily.
He also blamed the Secretariat of State for its own mistakes because it published a statement by Francis against the German Synod without a signature, as is often done in similar cases.
He tried to distance himself from his own statement by saying that he personally did not want to add anything to the letter he wrote to the Germans two years ago. But if that is true, why did he have the latest statement published?

Yet it was Francis who tasked the authors to "reevaluate" Humanae Vitae.
Never argue with a fool. Wait him out. God is, currently. Follow God, still.
Why not remove him as they did Benedict?
The answer is that the entire hierarchy is corrupt. Except for a few outliers, they support him as much as Democratic leadership does Joe Biden.
Instead of Christian good will and clarity about Catholic doctrine and morality, this papacy consists of clownish gestures, Leftist, Jesuitical bafflegab, and relentlessly nasty attacks on traditional Catholics. The wreckage is so severe that even if Francis is immediately and soon followed by a good pope, it is hard to imagine a full recovery of the Catholic church for at least a generation.
