The FSSP is just as vulnerable as the ICKSP. If anything, ICKSP is more artful and low-key in negotiations. Unfortunately, the Institute put a lot into renovating the beautiful church and had been rather attached to the big city HQ. What a horrible waste, and so sad as I was rather glad to see the HQ setup within walking distance of my old campus.

The FSSP and ICK are both vulnerable. However, they have a lot of leverage in the U.S. because churches function independently of the state, but are protected by civil law from the predations of a wayward hierarchy. Both of these groups were established under legal charters with the Catholic Church in Rome, and in the U.S. they typically operate in apostolates where the church properties are owned by their respective organizations or by non-profit corporations established under state law. This means they are likely to prevail in any dispute that ends up being adjudicated in a U.S. court.

If the ICK is really being shut down in Chicago, their most likely course of action is to sell their property and use the proceeds of the sale to buy or build a new headquarters in another diocese. They may even have all the legal standing they need to sue to Archdiocese of Chicago to recover the cost of the restoration work that has been done to the shrine up to this point.

All of the Tridentine Mass communities should simply ignore this tool of Satan because collectively they now represent the remnant of the true Catholic Church that’s been forced back to the catacombs as it were. Meanwhile, it has become perfectly obvious that the present Pope is no longer a Catholic, nor is anyone else who is attached to the Novus Ordo Conciliar church. The Conciliar Church is just another Protestant sect that was established by the Satan Council (Vatican, 1962-1965) to replace the Catholic Church founded by Jesus Christ. And Satan’s Pope, Francis, is now nothing more than a 21st century version of Martin Luther!
