The Power of Praise.

The Power of Praise.

Paul and Silas were beaten for speaking the good news of Jesus Christ. Jesus carried, on the cross, all of mankind's sickness and sin; so when sent to prison, Paul and Silas started to praise God. Jesus took a beating and with a love greater than known or human or expression of love, took the hate and covered it with His blood, satisfying the Lord God Almighty.

In the prison, when God heard His children praising Him in spite of horrible circumstances, He sent an earthquake and broke open the chains that bound the two men. They had looked not at the prison bars but to the Maker of the stars! An Angel came an led them out to freedom. Freedom is the ability to rise high in hope in the love of God!

After waiting a long time for the springtime rains to stop swelling up the river, we were able to take our rubber inflatable boat out for a float trip. It felt like we skimmed over the water, like we were flying! We went to a quiet cove and heard the animals in the shelter of the woods, some ducks flew up; I love the iridescent colors of the feathers; birds in flight, a lovely sight. We had entered into a haven and we cast our cares into the deep pools of calm, our boat was our sheltering float.

Once we got back to our starting point I had to step on a stool to disembark, but when I got one foot off, the boat was pushed into the current. My Manly Warrior jumped out and caught us both. He told me he could not hold the boat and me at the same time. I wanted to get cooled off , so I did a backdrop into the water. I heard people laughing at me from the shore. Rather than letting being laughed at because I am handicapped harm me, I told them “I meant to do that!” I started to laugh and praise God because I was in the river of the free flowing Holy Spirit of praise. I let the water and the sunlight reflecting on it carry me to heights of joy!

This 4th of July, Independence Day, we were going to have a family celebration at the lake but old cabins still have sewers running into it and E. Coli levels are high, people who always complain are like that. Rather, we decided to have a safe swim at home in the pool and enjoy our family privately.

Our country is 242 years old, those who love the freedom we have praise God for it and celebrate. Our family will speak praise in the cozy farmhouse decked in its Americana symbols of a spirit of being one family that knows they are too blessed to be stressed!

Thank God for making America an abundant land flowing with beauty and His grace!
