VATICAN CITY (RNS) — In defiance of some U.S. bishops, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi reportedly received Communion during a Mass presided over by Pope Francis on Wednesday (June 29) for the celebration of the feast of Sts. Peter and Paul.
Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone announced June 1 that the Catholic congresswoman is banned from receiving Communion in her home diocese of San Francisco due to her abortion rights stance. Since then, she has been barred from receiving the sacrament in four dioceses.
Pelosi called the recent pronouncement by the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade an “outrageous and heart-wrenching” decision. The U.S. Catholic bishops lauded the court’s decision, which they said overturned “an unjust law that has permitted some to decide whether others can live or die.”
Pelosi met with Francis on Wednesday before the service and received a blessing, according to one of the Mass attendees.

Bergoglio gave her an inch by failing promptly to celebrate the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and she took a mile by boldly joining the communion procession, forcing the priestly sacrificient of that mass (Bergoglio) to show his hand.
Bergoglio has apparently been bluffing all this time.
The Pope indirect threats to bishops to pipe down about criticizing Biden and Nancy a few months ago.
Those courageous bishops may end up in a basement in handcuffs soon if this goes on.

In 2008, while auxiliary bishop of San Diego, he helped lead the fight for California’s Proposition 8, which defined marriage as a union between a man and a woman. In 2015, he warned teachers at four local Catholic high schools that they could not publicly support homosexual acts, embryonic stem cell research and contraception. In September 2020, he took on the state of California for limiting indoor church services while giving latitude to shopping malls.
This Pope warned and insulted bishops who tried to call out the hypocritical pagans Biden and Pelosi. He claims it would cause controversy to do otherwise but he himself is ripping the Catholic community to shreds over his pals in DC who thumb their noses at the Bible while patting themselves on the back as devout Catholics.
So to this Pope anything goes if buddies are smiling? The Mafia and Central American gang bosses are just like that.
