If the Bible is the sole source of the Christian faith, how is it that there were Christians before a single word of the New Testament had been written?
How is it the Scripture commands the faithful do things not written in Scripture?
How is it the Scripture itself testifies that it’s the Church that is the pillar and source of the truth?
If the Scriptures are the last word, how do you know where and what they are? Does Scripture self authenticate?

Correct. As I understand it (I’m no exegetical theologist at all 😂) it is not a physical/geographic city it’s spiritual. How the people are connected forms the city. Could be an international sect or institution or religious organizations, etc.

The church compiled the scriptures because the church has authority just as Matthew 18:17 shows.
Authority there was in Jesus.
He gave it to the church.
The church later compiled scripture.

I think what you’ve described is the beast of revelation. How people/countries/institutions are connected forms the beast. The woman/city sits atop the beast.
