GOD as we know him Father,Son,Spirit

Romans 1:20

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

I believe the above verse is true.

The universe is 3 in 1.

How?

SPACE 3 physical dimensions, if we only had 1 or 2, the volume of the universe would be zero. With 3, it’s infinite.
TIME Past,Present,Future that goes on infinity
MATTER Solid,Liquid,Gas, (Neutron, Proton, Electron)
LIFE Humans,Plants,Animals
ABODES Heaven, Hell, Earth

It's funny that you mention the Trinity in terms of dimension.
That's what I was reminded of when watching the progression in the video from rock- fetus to God.
it ir reminded of how C.S. Lewis described the 3 in 1 Trinity - in terms of geometry

He wrote that in one dimension you can have get single line- alone. In two dimensions, you can combine the one dimensional single lines to make 2 dimensional figures-
Without losing the previous form of a singular line.
In a 3 dimensional space,, those 2D figures can be combined to make 3D shapes... infinitely as you point out...
and without losing the form of the previous 2 dimensional events.
3 dimensions in one.
Lewis lived during the time of Einstein, so you can see how "relativity" would have impacted his thinking back then.
While I admire Lewis very much, I must say this way of explaining the Trinity in higher levels of natural function- combined in terms of "imaging" of the form of the natural shape- Fleshes it out just a bit deeper, more meaningful.

Belive me when I say this-
If you have interest in understanding the Trinitarian form of God just a bit deeper-
it's very much worth the 14 min listen...
and you won't be disappointed for having done so...

Thanks, I tried to listen last night, but my computer had a glirtctyh and I lost my sound. I fixed it, so I will listen to it tonight when I get home.

I am looking forward to it.

The full understanding of the Trinity has always peaked my interest, and I believe none of us will truly know until we get there.

By the way, some even posture that once we get before GOD, we may learn there are more than just three, but the three is all we at ours understanding can yet comprehend.

After all, who in this World can truly comprehend the mind of GOD?

I’ll leave a comment tonight when I finish listening to it.

I must admit, while have many problems with the Catholic teachings, I readily recognize the fact that GOD can and does impart special wisdom and understanding to whom HE so desires. Thus I found Bishop Barron's dissertation on the nature of the three Persons of The Holy Trinity to be most exhilarating and very informative. His descriptive explanation is one of the best I have ever heard.

The one thing I applaud the Catholic Church for, is that they have never wavered from the truth and teachings of the doctrine of the Holy Trinity.

When my Mom married my stepdad, he persuaded her to send me and my sister Sonya, (we are the two youngest of the 8 children) to Catechism classes every Wednesday afternoon. It only lasted the first few years he and my Mom were married, but much of my love for Jesus stuck with me and bore fruit eventually.

I would eventualy become a hardcore orthodox Evangelical.

I’m glad the post held some value for you.
It usually does for me, but I am not theologically deep as some on FR- and not always sure of it’s impact.
Do not usually get much neg in reply- so it must be worthwhile. I think it is. This was a “wow” sermon I had to listen to twice!
He does have a gift as you say – to bringing scripture alive as we are to use and know for today’s world- not just as some historical reference we should be studying.

His true purpose, as a communicator, is to bring the fallen aways- or the ”nones” back to Christ in some way, anyway they need to be reached. To point out, as was this sermon, He tends to be more theological- then denominational- or doctrinal. Sure he IS a Catholic Bishop, and his references to scripture and Church will be Catholic as he knows it – He is a very well read, smart guy, that anyone, anywhere can learn something from- and so his personal goal is Evangelization firstly- more so then ”trying to pound Rome into the heads of heretics” as is haters require of him . And so, “traditional” or old timey Catholics hate Bishop Barron, and the outreach work he does. They even do and say many UN-Christian things to try to make their points or voices heard...

Sure he would like to see people come into the Church- but that’s not his main goal.
He wants to share Christ in this fallen culture- and sees the real enemy as “secularization” of the religious world.
But yet those who disagree with him want him to pound home Rome.
And as well many of these detractors feel his approach is too modern- and forsakes the old timey reverence of the Church- and so attack any aspect of the Church they disagree- more so then Protestants do.
And true- how do you sell Rome to anyone with Pope Francis in the Chair?
I left the Church years ago- and did comeback while John Paul II was the Pope- but no way would Pope Francis motivate me to come back to the Church. And that’s not disrespectful- just alot of work to be done -as this Pope is uninterested in spreading the Faith and bringing people to Christ. Thats not what he's about.
He would rather be politically correct and falling for the is guided ideals of corrupt, secular governments.
So its a mess all around – but when I listen to – or read this Bishop's sermons- he talks in a way that transcends human frailty and flaw – and re-focuses on the Truth of Christ’s mission for the World.

I am in agreement.

I tend to sway back and forth from using somewhat an easy to understand modernization of explaining the Scriptures to using deep theological long drawn out commentaries depending on the subject matter, and the audience.

I truly enjoyed his dissertation, and also listened a few times, since I wanted to grasp his descriptive wording to use myself. After all, when discussing the Trinity, it cannot, and should not be taken lightly. Thus the reason so many get lost in an hour long sermon or end up writing three page commentaries that truly lose the listener, or reader.

My interests in different types of theologian, is like my interests in different types of music. It can be piqued by listen to gospel, or big cathedral choir music, some Christian Rock, and even Opera, country, hard rock, classic rock, musicals, and even the good old Chmielewski Brothers Polka music that was popular in the 50’s and 60’s.

Thus, I have no problem listening to Catholic teachers if they are using proper theological doctrinal arguments. As I said, being a hard core Orthodox Evangelical Protestant follower, I have problems with almost as many evangelical teachers and I do Catholic.

I disdain Calvinism, but some of my favorite teachers to listen to are Calvinists. I love evangelicals, but get so tired of them pushing their end times theories into every verse of the Scriptures to push their Pret-Tribulation Dispensationalism.

When I prepare for as class I am teaching, a Sermon, or prepping for a commentary, I listen to many different people, along with reading as many classical ancient works from the fathers who's shoulders we all stand upon.

As a teacher, I fear leading people down the wrong path more than anything. As James 3:1 tells us, let not many of you want to be teachers, for you shall be held to a higher stricter standard than the rest. This is why I allow myself to absorb knowledge a wide variety of sources, and while I do stay clear of this who have proven themselves to be fools with a podium, I do respect and will always admire true Holy Spirit driven talent when I hear, or read it. Bishop Baron has a gift from GOD, and I I look forward to hearing him speaking on other topics.
