JERUSALEM—With the Russian invasion of Ukraine, resulting in the biggest land war in Europe since World War II, there has been a great deal of speculation about whether any of this has prophetic implications.
Specifically, many Christians – as well as others – are speculating whether we are likely to see the “War of Gog & Magog,” as described in the biblical book of Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39, actually unfold in the not-so-distant future.
Secular media outlets have published stories about this.
So have Christian media outlets.
Over the last several months, ALL ISRAEL NEWS has also published a number of stories addressing this question, due to the high interest.
That said, curiosity over the eschatological “War of Gog & Magog” is by no means a recent phenomenon.
The prophecy itself was written nearly 2,600 years ago, and has not yet come to pass.
But perhaps the modern era's most high-profile believer in the prophecy’s legitimacy was none other than former U.S. President Ronald Reagan.

I believe Ezekiel 38 and 39 maps with Matthew 24:6 and Revelation 6:4 as the opening act of Daniel’s 70th Week AKA the seven-year tribulation which is triggered upon the great taking up or “rapture” of the church to Jesus and into Heaven (Rev. 4:1).
This will also be the beginning of WWII, wherein 1/4 of the world will be killed (Rev. 6:8) including 5/6’s of Russia wiped out (Ez. 39-1-2). It will take seven months to bury all the dead in Israel. The weapons in this great battle will be burning for seven years (Ez. 39:9).
Another reason to believe this battle opens up the seven-year tribulation is that after this battle, God turns Israel back to himself mapping Ez.39:25-29 with Rev. Chapt. 7.

What is so fascinating about Israel, which has the landmass of the average American county, that would cause countless millions to want to converge there for an invasion?
Spiritually: the spirit of antichrist which basically runs most of the world HATES Israel because Satan HATES God and his people and wants them destroyed as the Islamic states continually declare.
Politically: Israel is strategically located where it can under the right circumstances, greatly interfere with Russian oil supply and demand.

I chose to not have children on the basis of my own personal beliefs for what is likely to occur before I move on, but I don’t jump into bed with leftists/progressives/globalists to satisfy an emotional need for hate.
As a recovering Catholic, my religion is a moral guide, not a filter through which I exert my bias upon others. I was a Reagan republican (*was) and appreciated that Reagan also used his religion as a guide (lest we would otherwise live in a much different world today).
We agree on far more than that on which we may disagree; it is your choice to wield scripture as a weapon to reinforce misconceptions and demonize independent thinkers (e.g., Conservatives).

However I think you split hairs by rejecting the first line of the article, with no supporting evidence, and falsely call it the “premise”. I think you misplace the premise of the article which is about Reagan’s belief that Ez. 38-39 is imminent.
And using scripture as support in a discussion about scripture is of course logical and sound.

Anyone using scripture to justify support of Ukraine, to demonize Russia and label this a sign of ‘end of days’ conveniently forgets that this crisis was entirely manufactured by the West, promoted by democrats/leftists/progressives and part of the globalist agenda.
