Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Revelation 10
The Two Witnesses
11 I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers. 2 But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. 3 And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.” 4 They are “the two olive trees” and the two lampstands, and “they stand before the Lord of the earth.”[a] 5 If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. 6 They have power to shut up the heavens so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.
7 Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them. 8 Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city—which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified. 9 For three and a half days some from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial. 10 The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.
11 But after the three and a half days the breath[b] of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. 12 Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on.
13 At that very hour there was a severe earthquake and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 The second woe has passed; the third woe is coming soon.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
Hallowed be Name!
You Alone Are Worthy to be Praised and Worshiped,
for You Alone Are the One True God,
From Everlasting to Everlasting,
All Seeing and All Knowing,
Righteous, Just and Holy,
Slow to anger,
And abounding in tender mercies.
With Our Whole Soul Our Whole Mind,
Our Whole Strength, and Our Whole Being,
We Bow Down before You!
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

There is much speculation as to the identity of the Two Witnesses, and I certainly will not be solving the mystery today in this Thread. There are several schools of thought on the issue.
Some say that the Two Witnesses are Enoch and Elijah. This theory comes from the Scripture Passages that relate that neither of these Great Men of God died a natural death: Both were taken up into heaven while they were still alive.(Genesis 5:23; 2 Kings 2:11). Since it is appointed that a man die only once (Hebrews 9:27), this would qualify these Two Prophets, because they are murdered by the Beast after they have finished God's Work.
Another school of thought says that the Two Witnesses are Moses and Elijah. This also makes sense because they represent The Law and The Prophets in Scripture. They appeared with Jesus in the Transfiguration, and, Jewish tradition suggests that Elijah and Moses will appear before the Coming of Messiah. So this theory makes sense too.
A third theory says that these will be two individuals specially anointed for this ministry. That is plausible too, as they are not named at all.
In my sudies over the years I came across a passage in the Book of Zechariah 4. A Golden Lampstand (which is the symbol for the Modern State of Israel), is shown with two Olive Trees. The Olive Trees are connected to the Lampstand with Golden Pipelines. The Pipelines are supplying Olive Oil as a fuel into the Lampstand, nourishing it and keeping the fire going. The Prophet later goes on to extol Two Witnesses, describing them as "Olive Trees". This fits in with Revelation 10 beautifully.
There are lots of gods and goddesses worshipped in the world today, but there are only two groups of People who are True Witnesses to the One True God YHVH. These are Believing Jews and True Christians (not "in name only"). Ironically, these are the same groups of people who usually support Israel (not all, but most). Could it be that, as well as being two actual Men, the two Olive Trees (Witnesses) could be two Groups of People? I'm just throwing that out there.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)
God Bless America.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
Hallelujah and Amen

A Psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom.
1 O Lord, how many are my foes!
Many are rising against me;
2 many are saying to me,
‘There is no help for you* in God.’
Selah
3 But you, O Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
4 I cry aloud to the Lord,
and he answers me from his holy hill.
Selah
5 I lie down and sleep;
I wake again, for the Lord sustains me.
6 I am not afraid of tens of thousands of people
who have set themselves against me all around.
7 Rise up, O Lord!
Deliver me, O my God!
For you strike all my enemies on the cheek;
you break the teeth of the wicked.
8 Deliverance belongs to the Lord;
may your blessing be on your people!
Selah
