" 6) The Fertilizer Shortage – As mentioned previously, you can’t make fertilizer without urea and natural gas.
Russia is the world’s top exporter of both.
Not surprisingly, Russia is also the world’s #1 exporter of fertilizer.
On March 10, Russia announced the suspension of fertilizer exports. Think about the implications of that."

I have heard several commentators state that Russia is a gas station
operating under the guise of a nation. "
Truer words were never spoken ..

The Sopranos had some notable insults, such as:
“She’s so fat, her blood type is Ragu.”

I've heard that, and of course it makes sense. The world record for fasting (under medical supervision) is just over a year. A fellow named Angus (really) lost 456 pounds. Subsisted on electrolyte drinks and vitamins, basically.

But, I've also read, the morbid obese types tend to die right away in a famine. The way it was explained, is similar to a diesel tanker truck running out of fuel. The truck is hauling diesel, but the engine runs on gasoline. Plenty of fuel, millions of BTU, but no way to run it.

Most everyone that is overweight, or obese, or morbid obese are "sugar burners" and subsist largely on refined carbohydrate. While they have lots of stored fat, their body is not capable of transitioning to burning fat, not very easily anyway. The time to practice Fasting therefore, is before a famine. It takes a long time for the body to adapt and relearn how to burn fat. These changes take place all the way down to the cellular level, even mitochondria over time will have preference to burn glucose over fat and the metabolic pathways that are unused become very resistant to burning fat.

Think about it - why would someone who is obese become "hungry"? The answer of course, is they aren't. They just want to eat more carbohydrate. Sugar.

They aren’t incompetent, they are actually very good at what they are doing. The mistake is in our assumption that they are trying to make things better. If they were merely incompetent, by the law of averages they would make mistakes, now and then, in our favor. That never happens. Check your premises!!

To reduce world population from well over seven hundred billion to half a billion will require “small wars, pandemics, economic disruption and chaos, lower living standard for the middle and lower class, more abortions, elimination of the nuclear family, and wide spread STARVATION.” Looks like the process is right on schedule.

Fair point, but I really do think many of them are just incompetent. But that fact makes it easy for them to be led in a particular direction by some group; which becomes a much more sinister premise.

We used to have this thing in California called the San Jaoquin Valley that was the vegetable capital of the world.

Green Giant and Del Monte dominated the region.

Democrats in California turned it into a dustbowl over a tiny fish that lived hundreds of miles away.

You CAN make fertilizer without natural gas. Dung from living creatures is the original fertilizer. Collect, process and use it.

You can’t make fertilizer without urea and natural gas.

That comment is a little bit confused. You can't make synthetic nitrogenous fertilizer without "fixing" nitrogen from the air. That typically begins with the "Haber" process for making ammonia, which involves combining nitrogen and hydrogen under high temperature and pressure over a catalyst. Hydrogen is usually produced from natural gas, but only because that's traditionally been the cheapest way. You can also make it from water and coal. You can also make it from water and electricity.

Urea is produced from ammonia and carbon dioxide.

As you correctly point out, synthetic nitrogenous fertilizer isn't the only kind. Also, not all crops require nitrogen from the outside; legumes can fix their own nitrogen.
