Saved from the Fire.

Saved from the Fire.

Every spring, we take an inventory of our fruit trees to see which ones have survived the winter; those that died will be cut down and burned for firewood. New trees will be replanted, and when the flowering fruit trees bloom it is a lovely sight.

One year, near harvest time, we had a big red squirrel get to the ripe fruit before we could pick it. The heavily laden squirrel, obviously inebriated from fermenting fruit sugars, was rolling around in the orchard, drunk. A Red-tailed hawk swooped down, and ate the squirrel, the next thing we saw was the hawk nose diving into the barn. The cows got “udderly” upset and started to bawl.

Other foundations can no man lay other than Jesus Christ. When people are hurt, they often get a seed of bitterness; they blame God and become vessels for the devil to use. As they become more and more consumed with rage, they seek to find relief. They try to take the possessions and the peace of those who have; they are the invaders.

To everything there is a season. We planted so many fragrant plants, that on many a summer night when the children chase fireflies, a balmy breeze wafts over and a deep feeling of contentment and “country calm” falls down like a springtime rain.

Some made a decision to become a Christian at a young age; they were saved, and no one can take them out of the Fathers hand, and yet the pressures and temptations of this world and its pleasures became their pursuit more than God, who created it. Often, they can become more involved in trying to fit in with the ungodly because of peer pressure and poor choices. Jesus left heaven and came to become a man, to live a perfect life and fulfill the Law and the Prophets in order to make a way for our Justification before a Holy Creator God. Jesus walked right into the fire that we deserved, paying our penalty and giving us a new life if we accept it! Which of the stripes on His back was meant for me? Which one did I put there by my sin? Jesus never stops calling us to come and abide with Him; in His Life there is the freedom of being clean. Just as cattle, that spent a wintertime confined to a barn, in the springtime, when finally let out into the new green grass, frolic and play in the sunshine. We too, can find peace and joy in this newness of life.

In the time at the end of that age, when God Almighty opens The Book of Life, those not found therein, will be judged by their deeds and found wanting. At the throne of judgment, those names not written in the Book of Life will have their biography read from the Book of Deeds, and none will be found acceptable in God's sight; there was only One who met the standard, Jesus the Anointed One, fully God and fully man. In the new Jerusalem, which will descend from heaven, only the righteous will be inside and will see what the new heavens an earth will look like. Being able to see the Godhead will be so amazing!

Now, in this time of war, there is peace when the Holy spirit is invited to be with us, He teaches about God and He comforts us and gives us fruits that are lovely, that cause us to love people and to bless them.

Yeah. I think the rabbit distress call sounded like a fawn in distress.
