Someone please explain to me why playing this pronoun game with a child victim of sociopolitical Munchausen by proxy somehow violates the teacher's Christian faith. I understand her desire to speak the truth; but the entire school system violates Christian values in a preponderance of ways. The teacher has made a choice to keep taking the paycheck.

If the school system had a policy in place, had given these kids the belief that their mental illness would be euphemized via pronoun fascism, and a teacher then continued repeatedly to call them the "dead name", that actually is bullying and harassment.

That said, it's illogical, destructive, ludicrous and flat wrong to punish a teacher who merely "misgenders" by accident, or as in this case, was never even given the Orwellian pronoun training.

Therefore I, too, hope she wins this case.
