Protestantism was an inevitable result of the invention of the printing press, and the ability of individuals to interpret the Bible in various conflicting ways.

Perhaps, but at least the prots don't say, "Our way or the highway!"

Now we've invented the WEB.

Guess what a mess THIS will make about believing certain things!!

Jesus basically said My way or the highway.

Many protestant sects, especially those that are the most orthodox, basically say my way or the highway.

And yes the internet has been very good at spreading stupid and silly ideas (e.g. the jabs are good for us) but they have also given many Christians the opportunity to share their faith and provide virtual services to those stuck at home due to unconstitutional government actions.
