PATERSON — A city resident seen on video cursing about the public call to prayer at a local mosque is facing charges for an incident being investigated as a possible bias crime.
Edward Wright, 57, was arrested Feb. 22, stemming from the encounter at the Islamic Congregation of North Jersey two months earlier, according to the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office as first reported by NorthJersey.com.
Video posted to YouTube by the New Jersey chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, shows surveillance footage of the man entering the mosque on Preakness Avenue in Paterson on Dec. 23. The full video includes repeated profanities.
The video footage switches to a different camera, which shows him walking across a carpeted room and then eventually walking back, followed by someone from the mosque who is also recording him on a cell phone.

Americans shouldn’t have to put up with that bullsh*t. It’s just some of that “In Your Face” bullsh*t that foreigners love to shove in the faces of Americans.

My guess is this mosque received permission to blast their morning call without the neighborhoods ever having been consulted. There should be no surprise that most folks don’t want to hear that noise. You can’t block it out if you live or work in that radius and the Mosque knows that.
Hamtramack Michigan, near my hometown, went through this same thing years ago. Their elected officials didn’t stand up for them.

Call to prayer isn't about worship. It's about declaring territory under Muslim control.
This isn't the same a church bells. Churches keep secular time, just like court houses and other municipal buildings.
The people who live there didn't agree to this. It is imposed upon them and their only recourse is to move which is the reason for CtP; to drive non-Muslims from conquered Muslim territory.
Get ready for the courts to allow this.

I spent a week in Turkey when it was a westernized country in the days before Erdogan. Even in the city, you could hear that call to prayer. I really didn’t mind it.
But in the US? STFU!!!
The double standards and unequal treatment under the law is reprehensible.
