It just depends on what you are looking for. Forget about the liberal mainline denominations —UCC, Episcopal, ELCA, etc. — but, depending on where you are , you might find a good United Methodist congregation. I have a good impression of the LCMS, but you would know more about that than I do. Coming from a Lutheran background, how important is liturgy to you? You might find all kinds of good informal evangelical churches that might not meet your need for more formal worship if you have that need, as I do. I am a convert to Orthodoxy, but I realize Orthodoxy might be a leap for some people. The church I had been attending in Chicago had been under some heavy COVID restrictions, so I have been attending a Byzantine Catholic Church two blocks away from home. They have beautiful services and a wonderful community and a great young priest who is well-educated in scripture and theology and is firmly conservative. You’ll find what you need if you look long and hard enough.

Look for a Bible-based church. Denominations, for the most part don’t matter. The pastor and his reliance on Scripture does.
Stay away from the mainstream cults, as nice as some of them sound. It’s easy enough to find out how off-base they are from checking out their doctrines. Your relationship with your Savior takes precedence over everything else.
May God guide you to where its best for you to worship Him and have fellowship with others.

Do I get a planet where I can be left alone from liberals?
I suppose, since it’s my planet, I can just outlaw liberalism and prevent the mass murder of 250 million people, the starting of the majority of major wars and the enslavement of over a billion people and the abortion of 1.6 billion unborn children.

Don't look for a church that fits you; look for the Church that Jesus himself started and find your place there. There you will find Jesus and can abide with him there. And once you do, never leave Jesus because of Judas. The Apostles never did, and neither should we.
I wish you success on your journey. You will be in my prayers.
Christ covered all, so unperfected churches are ok to attend. It allows us time to find the ones that are closer to God’s Word.
Our only hope is Jesus and His sacrifice. You won’t find a perfect church because churches are full of sinners only Jesus is sinless.
Quit keeping your eyes on sinners but focus on Jesus with the focus of a laser. Ask for forgiveness, pray for your enemies and pray for sinners, they will be judged by God alone, not you or me.

Amen! If you personally study God’s word you will not be lead astray. This journey of life is a relationship with God, not a man-made religion. God will take us to where we need to be if we obey Him.
