Sunday Mass Sermon- Should We Build Walls Or Bridges?
Word on Fire Ministry ^ | 01.23.22 | Aux. Bishop R. Barron

Posted on 01/23/2022 11:17:39 AM PST by MurphsLaw

The Homily from the Bishop today focuses on the First Reading from Nehemiah detailing Ezra bringing back the Word of God to Jerusalem. Drawing the parallel with our recent post- Concilar Church,
explaining why both Walls AND bridges are necessary at this point.

Should We Build Walls Or Bridges?

An interesting take on why Walls ARE necessary,
and the purpose they should serve.

(Before all the extraneous Pope smacking begins,
keep in mind the Homily is not as much a reference to the current Pope's political inferences,
rather... how these Walls can preserve Faith and Tradition.)

Dumb question. You build as appropriate - whichever one serves your long term interests.

Before all the extraneous Pope smacking begins [...]

Yes, everyone! Please limit yourself only to a minimum of Pope-smacking! Please indulge in only that measure of Pope-smacking which is absolutely necessary!

Regards,

Drawing the parallel with our recent post- Concilar Church,...

Well at least you admit Frankenchurch is a "post-Conciliar church", and the not the Catholic Church as all Catholics knew it prior to VC II.

The church needs walls to keep the world from transforming it. Thecchurch needs bridges so it can reach out and transform the world.

There was a wall around Jerusalem. God told the Jews to build it and it wasn’t there to keep people in.

No walls, no bridges.

What we need are moats.

Moats filled with crocodiles and hippopotamus.
