Those are Michael Brown’s words but he is not “describing the struggle he experienced while coming to belief” but rather after he came to faith. He studied; alot; as I read him he “struggled” with others’ objections to his faith and became stronger in it. This is what I expect, and God requires, in a son or daughter, Jew or Gentile.
