(LifeSiteNews) – The top court of the European Union ruled Tuesday that all EU countries must recognize homosexuals and their legal children as family members regardless of national laws on same-sex parenting or homosexual “marriage.”
In a ruling that applies to the entire 27-nation bloc, the European Court of Justice (CJEU) in Luxembourg declared that member countries must allow a same-sex couple to move and reside freely with a child legally recognized as their son or daughter by another EU state.
Eleven EU nations, most of them in Eastern Europe, do not recognize same-sex “marriage.”
The CJEU sided in favor of two lesbians who “married” in Spain and adopted a girl, Sara, born in 2019. The girl’s Spanish birth certificate lists the women, British national Jane Jones and Kalina Ivanova, a Bulgarian citizen, as her “mothers,” though she is not eligible for Spanish citizenship, as neither of the two women is Spanish.
Ivanova requested Bulgarian citizenship for Sara but was rejected, as majority-Christian Bulgaria does not permit homosexual “marriage” and Ivanova refused to provide details of the girl’s biological parents. Bulgarian birth certificates only include boxes for a child’s mother and father.
A birth certificate issued by Bulgarian authorities is necessary to obtain a Bulgarian ID, which Ivanova and Jones sought in order to travel freely with Sara across the EU. Ivanova eventually brought the case before a local court in Sofia, which declared that Sara has Bulgarian nationality, despite unresolved questions about her parents, and referred the case to the CJEU.

There’s no such thing as same sex parents.
It’s physically impossible.
The Eastern European countries are going to leave the EU and form their own free-trade bloc but with no EU type courts or parliaments. The worse case scenario-the EU pushes them into a new bloc that includes Russian.
I’ll keep saying what I’ve said before, which is that the EU is some kind of sick, Dystopian, concept and countries not interested in it (i.e., Eastern Europe) will have to decide whether to join them, which they clearly do not want to do, or look to for new friends. And there is only ONE other potential ‘friend’ in their neighborhood...the same country they despised for the 45 years of the Cold War. But now things are different as today’s ‘Europe’ isn’t all that wonderful, after all.

How many genders are we up to now? 57? So that makes 3,249 different variations of a couple. Funny how animals have had this figured out for about a billion years but Homo “sapiens” are seemingly miffed.
The EU is not a "free-trade bloc." The EU imposes massive amounts of regulations on products, which was one of the reasons for Brexit.
That said, I hope Eastern Europe does leave the EU.
Whether they start a free-trade bloc, or impose nationalist tariffs, I don't care. It's up to them.
God doesn't care about trade policy. Sodom was not punished for the local king's tax or trade policies.
But yeah lets keep defending NATO and call Russia the most evil place on the planet....
The left invokes ‘democracy,” but this is the reality.
Eastern Europe understands things a whole lot better than WE.
The EU has destroyed Europe. There are no more individual countries with unique culture and customs. It is just one giant morass of cross culture gobble-d-goop.
Going to a different country is like visiting a larger version of Solvang or Little Italy. The only difference is in the food and architecture. All the customs have faded to grey.
