Sadly, this garbage is hardly new. They’ve allowed “smudging” ceremonies in Catholic Masses for almost 20 years now, to the point where it’s hardly even news anymore.
There used to be this blog “Catholic Church Conservation” where a lot of similar outrages in Europe were documented. The blog has gone private, so I can’t really point you toward it...but you can see a lot of the articles in you do a search of those that were posted to FR in years gone by.

Some people seem to be just one step away from reverting paganism.

All true. All the more reason why as ordinary Catholics we can’t let ourselves be driven into despair by a bad Pope. He is just one man and, one way or another, he will one day be gone just like the many bad Popes we’ve had in the past. . In the meantime we need to be steadfast to the Faith, find inspiration in the few strong leaders. Find those few good leaders in the Church and listen to them and tune out the Pope. I recommend you start with Bishop Strickland of Tyler, Texas, who has a weekly podcast on Virgin Most Powerful Radio.
Riverside, that is about 1,000 miles from the ancient BORDER of the Aztec Empire. There were other tribes living in Riverside.. WHY now do they want to pay tribute to the Aztecs if they were considered their enemies of those living in Riverside.. uhmnn. Someone knows VERY little of their history.
