Dear friend, who or what do you personally love more; America or the LORD JESUS CHRIST? Seems like a simple enough question but many love this nation and its temporal place in time on this passing world stage more than the ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS Creator and ETERNAL PROPITIATION and SAVIOR of their souls ( John 3:16-17, Heb. 1:2-3; 1 John 4:10)?
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also,” (Matthew 6:21).
In such days may our love of nation take an ETERNAL second place to the love and dedication to the ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS SAVIOR of this passing world (John 3:16-17; 1 John 2:15-17). When one's love is prioritized rightly, then only Almighty God's blessing can bless the second!

One of my pet peeves, for several decades, has been the American flag in the front of church sanctuaries. I was so pleased to see our music director of my church remove it.
If we are there for a political event, by all means bring it out. But it has no place in a church service. It dilutes the very core reason for our being there.
And hey, German churches used to have Nazi flags in them. Same problem.

I fought for my country, not Jesus.
It is a fact that I was born in my country, not heaven..It is also a fact that if I were asked to kill for my country, I would, without regret.
Jesus said nothing about killing for him.
Jesus, and his told coming, is naught, as you read this.
My country is in the present. It exists, as do I.
I believe from this, you can divine my answer.
The United State government is the best form we’ve seen on this earth, but it pales in comparison to Christ’s kingdom. The end result of the votes of 240,000,000 sinners, will be corruption, just like the rest.
