A top Vatican cardinal said he does not believe Joe Biden is in a “state of sin” despite working to expand the killing of unborn babies in abortions and force taxpayers to pay for their deaths.
Newsmax reports Catholic Cardinal Peter Turkson told Axios in a Sunday interview that he would not withhold Communion from the American president.
Biden says he is a devout Catholic, but he is pushing the most radical pro-abortion, anti-Christian policies ever seen from a presidential administration. Not only did Biden recently allow dangerous abortion drugs to be sold through the mail without a doctor’s visit, he also is trying to force taxpayers to pay for elective abortions in the U.S. and overseas. His administration even refused to defend a pro-life nurse who said the taxpayer-funded hospital where she worked tricked her into helping abort an unborn baby.
Despite Biden’s egregious record, Turkson said Biden should not be denied Communion. The cardinal said doing so should be reserved only for “extreme cases,” according to the report.
“The Eucharist should not in any way become a weapon,” the cardinal told Axios. “If you say somebody cannot receive Communion, you are basically doing a judgment that you are in a state of sin.”
When asked if Biden is in a “state of sin,” Turkson said, “No.”

Everybody is in a state of sin. That isn’t the test for being ready to partake in communion. The test is whether or not a person admits that, and repents.
The issue with Biden and many others is that they do not view promotion of or partaking in abortion as a sinful act.
The cardinal is compounding error.

If you are not performing the abortions yourself it isn’t extreme.
No the denial of the Eucharist should not be a weapon but it should be a tool of discipline; a tool of instruction to inform an arrent member of the church that they are in danger of damnation for a grave sin.
Ever Catholic member of the Democrat Party that supports abortion should be held in Excommunication until they repent of their sin.
It is not an attack. It is an act of Charity. It is an attempt to save a fellow Christian from eternal damnation.
To permit these members of the Church to continue to receive communion is scandal. The Church hierarchy is essentially telling the other members of the Church that abortion is acceptable in the eyes of the Church. It is at best a mixed message and at worst changing the teaching of the Church.
This message from the Cardinal is an act of evil.

I've considered that, then thought about guns. S&W make guns. Should they be denied communion? A person buys a gun. Should they be denied communion? Guns by themselves do not kill, the finger that pulls the trigger does. A person who shoots in self defense, should they be denied communion? A person who murders, should they be denied communion? Yes, because of thou shalt not kill.
So FJB promotes abortions. That puts him in the same category as S&W. A person doing an abortion or asking for one is like the murderer... because they are.
But! If FJB was a real Christian, he wouldn't allow abortions to be legal because the whole point of it is to kill. That makes him an accessory to murder.

My point is that the cardinal is saying promoting abortion is NOT sin.
