Tyler Bishop Joseph Strickland, Texas, has encouraged his priests on Twitter.com (August 27) to pray the St Michael prayer and a Hail Mary or a Marian hymn after Mass.
“These prayers can strengthen all who are praying together toward a deeper reverence,” he explained.
This contrasts with the conformist Chicago Cardinal who forbad (!) a parish to use these prayers.

Soupy is not only one of the worst of “Team Francis,” he’s also one of the silliest— truly a cartoon villain like out of an old episode of Scooby Doo. What the hell does he think he’s accomplishing by banning prayers?
May Cardinal Strickland enjoy a long and productive life.
This issue came up some years ago, the group of daily mass-goers wanted to say the St. M prayer after mass, but were afraid the priest would not like it. I advised them - be sure mass is over, then wait for him to recess out, and then say it together. A priest cannot forbid Catholics to say a Catholic prayer in a Catholic church.
