When the Lord takes up residence in us, he brings with him all his power and resources. Suddenly, our inner man has access to God’s strength, wisdom, truth, peace, everything we need to live in victory. We don’t have to cry out to him to come down to us from heaven. He’s already in us. Paul tells us just how powerful we are in Christ.
“For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:14-19, NKJV).
What an amazing passage. Paul lists but a few of the incredible treasures the Lord has made available to us. Indeed, all of God’s riches are available to us in Christ Jesus.
Some Christians have created an image of a self-centered God whose only pleasure is in receiving praise. May that never be said about our Lord because that isn’t at all why he has come to abide in us. He has come to show us that he’s a God who is not far off. The Lord wants us to know he isn’t just out in the dark expanse of the cosmos somewhere. He doesn’t flit in and out of our lives at will. No, he’s very present in us, and he never leaves his abode in us.
This is how Jesus could tell his disciples, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says” (Mark 11:22-23).
When the Father made his dwelling in our temple, he brought to us a strength in our inner man, a deep rooting and grounding in love, as well as access to ask him for all things. He has made all things possible through his divine power at work in us.
The Return ping.
God is dead
Hey, noob, or I should say, troll.
I notice that you signed up Aug 12, 2020, a whole year ago and didn’t make your first post until May of THIS year.
And you misspelled “Jews”. It’s not spelled “g-e-w-s”.
You need to take your antisemitism to a different forum, like DU.

We don’t need to seek God. We never did. God is right here along with us. In the Bible, we are portrayed as fleeing Him. Our sins make us fear Him. He is shown to be searching for us as sheep gone astray. Turn off the Tv and read the Bible. Fast and pray. He is there. He is listening. Don’t let the world drown out his pleas. Everything in the news is just noise.
AMEN. The Most High speaks in a suttle whisper or with loud thunderings like on Mt. Sinai. He will not tarry much longer. The careful study of His Word—The Bible, fasting and prayer are all required at this hour.
AMEN, It has always been The Creator’s Will to dwell in us. If we understood just for a moment just what that means.
Emmanuel, God with us. We are God’s Temple, made in His Image to reflect His Glory more perfectly, than all of His Creation. Flesh and blood cannot reveal this, but The Spirit of The Most High.
We all know The Second Temple, at the time of JESUS, was inferior than Solomon’s Temple, yet why does the following prophecy state otherwise?:
Haggai 2:9
The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the LORD Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the LORD Almighty.”
“The Glory of the present (or latter) house will be greater”
JESUS, The Holy One of Israel, filled that inferior building with His Glory, the embodiment of God’s Word, Glory, Mercy, Truth, Justice and Love... breathing, walking, touching, healing and teaching IN THE FLESH amongst His brethren... Even in that Temple, where there stood no Ark of The Covenant, That Glory, JESUS’ Glory, True Shekina Glory filled God’s Temple.
Jesus desires to give us His Glory, through His Holy Spirit and reveal to us the True Love and Glory of The Father and oh how feeble, lost and void we are without His Presence.
God’s Spirit and Strength to all. Thanks for sharing
Amen!
Excellent.
Thank you.
Exodus 34:5-7 The Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”
I read once that people think of God’s glory as a bright shining light, but when Moses requested to see God’s glory, God revealed His character to him.
IOW, God’s glory is His holy character.
God loves each and every human being equally and gives each of us the free will to lead our lives as we desire. True Joy is not the absence of pain and suffering. It is knowing the peace that passes all understand through accepting Jesus into your heart. My family has had experiences that have been profound and He is interested in every detail in your life. I have also found that God has an amazing sense of humor. Seek and you will find.
