Spiritual to Physical: Let There Be Light!

“The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit." (John 3:8)

In John 3:8, Jesus relates the moving of the wind to the moving of the spirit. Jesus always taught with parables, using physical things which God created. He spoke of sheep, wolves, crops, and many things the people understood and by them he expressed spiritual truths made manifest through God’s creation.

We can understand spiritual things by our observations of physical and visible things. Invisible things support the existence of all things that exist physically. Indeed, for if we understand ideas can spur actions that lead to the creations of things we make or build, then it stands to reason that comprehending a creation can lead to us back with a better understanding of the invisible things that spawned them.

For all matter, and energy for that matter, including all living and nonliving things, are visible reflections in a “mirror” reveling spiritual things we cannot see with the eye. Indeed, for all created things were preceded by their possibility of being before they existed. All things that exist physically must have a foundation of spiritual axioms (physical and spiritual laws) after which they are patterned in order to be brought into being. This made them possible to exist before they existed.

So then, beginning with invisible things, by comprehension of invisible ideas, mankind has made many things which are now visible—everything we make begins first with an idea. So likewise, by comprehending things that are visible, we can also understand that which lies outside of the material dimension.

Was this then a purpose and intent of God in the creation of all things, that we might learn and understand the invisible things which were before and lie beyond our physical realm? Indeed! As Paul says in Romans 1:20 - “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse”.

And the spoken Word at the beginning, “LET THERE BE LIGHT”, has a far more profound meaning than most realize. For Light is Knowledge, as Darkness is ignorance. As it is written, God divided the Light (Knowledge, Wisdom, and Understanding), from the Darkness (ignorance and falsities); for God saw the Light, that it was good. For it was not at the beginning, but later on, on the fourth day that the physical luminaries providing light (the Sun, Moon, and stars) appeared to divide and rule over the day and rule over the night in the physical dimension.

Conclusion

Physical creation must be preceded by the possibility of its existence. However, even a possibility must itself also consist of something in order to possess potential. Essential components of  physical possibilities must be based on spiritual axioms, which would include unchanging principles and laws.

Not mentioned heretofore, however, is the essential component of possibility, which if absent, possibility itself could not exist. That component would be energy. There must be a source of energy for any possibility to be realized and come into being. Indeed, because for any physical creation to come into being, there must be action, and action requires energy.

A force of energy has always existed. This force is the source and foundation of all things that be, or can be. It is what makes even possibilities possible. All of the things afore mentioned are in God. God said, “I Am”.

Everything physically existing is being spun into existence by the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God. And everything in the physical realm consists of energy, including matter which is also a form of energy.

From being possibilities, all things that we now see have come to be. Two final elements in the process, however, need to be given more attention; and that would be purpose and design. Purpose and design are absolutely necessary for highly complex designs to be viable. Even evolution would be dependent upon purpose to be successful. Otherwise, there is no design and random mutations with no direction and no consistent shape or form would overwhelm viability and creative chaos would be the rule.

Design requires intent, and intent requires purpose. A house or an automobile is not going to design and build itself. Even more daunting would be the creation of biological life and the universe. The seeing eye for example would not exist without design, nor design without purpose.

Thus, the debate becomes one over the designer. Either self designing mutations somehow found order out of need as they went along making relatively few mistakes, or an omnipotent Creator with knowledge, intent, and purpose designed and created all things.

I for one am certain of the latter.  God, in his willingness to make visible all the invisible things from before the foundations of the world, said, "Let there be Light". Those are the first recorded words spoken by God. Light is knowledge. And God created all things to make knowledge manifest. Indeed, in so doing, all of creation is a witness which testifies of the invisible knowledge of God. Creation then is the teaching apparatus of God. And there is nothing that was created without an intended purpose to illustrate things that otherwise would not be known to those whom he created.

Yup. Not gonna name demonization, but folks wonder why so and so would attend a church that is not very biblical, and why they don’t just get out and into such and such a denomination, but as I learned once, the spirit listed where it will, and people in churches that don’t even preach salvation do from time to time genuinely find Christ as their savior. Folks attending the nearly godless churches could be out partying, shirking family life, etc, but they are at least going to church on Sundays with their families, and are not totally averse to God and his word, and have a better chance of ‘stumbling on the truth by reading his word on their own even if their church rarely preaches it, or preaches it in Error.

I guess the bottom line was that I shouldn’t criticise folks for being In what I consider ‘inferior churches’, because I do NOT KNOW where the spirit will list. He can even grab hold of someone who just perhaps never even really seriously considers God, but who happens to walk past an outdoor revival meeting, and stir them to walk in and ‘see what all the fuss is about for themselves. We just don’t know where and when the spirit will work. God evenworks in the lives of ‘hopelessly addicted folks, by perhaps leading them to find a hospel tract on the ground, or buliten bord or whatever. God’s ways are not our ways

Of course we should try to encourage folks in churches that don’t preach salvation or the gospel for that matter, to try to find another solid God feari g church, but we shouldn’t get angry if they don’t listen, or try to browbeat them to ‘wise up’ or whatever, because God may need that person in that church for a reason, perhaps to help lead others who wouldn’t hear the gospel from the ‘preacher’ to Christ at some point. Maybe even the ‘preacher’ will come to know christ through the testimony of the saved person In The church- Again, God’s ways are not our own.
