House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday defended efforts to permit federal funding of elective abortions, and cited her own Catholic faith while doing so.
A draft spending bill that was recently approved by the House Appropriations Committee would allow for federal funding of elective abortions in Medicaid. It excludes the Hyde Amendment, federal policy since 1976 which prohibits funding of most abortions in Medicaid.
In remarks at her weekly press conference in the U.S. Capitol on Thursday, Pelosi said she supports a repeal of Hyde because it is “an issue of health, of many women in America, especially those in lower-income situations and in different states.”
“And it is something that has been a priority for many of us for a long time,” Pelosi said.
She cited her faith, noting that as “a devout Catholic and mother of five in six years, I feel that God blessed my husband and me with our beautiful family, five children in six years almost to the day.”
She added that she would not presume to make decisions for other women, regarding their families and abortion.
Pelosi said that “it’s not up to me to dictate that that’s what other people should do, and it [funding of abortion in Medicaid] is an issue of fairness and justice for poorer women in our country.”
President Joe Biden did not include the Hyde Amendment in his budget request to Congress for the 2022 fiscal year; leading Democrats have pushed for an end to the policy in recent years. The Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies appropriations bill recently advanced out of the House Appropriations Committee without the amendment language.

It is not enough to wait for divine intervention to stop this witch, it is up to the leaders of the Catholic faith to stop her. If they are OK with a member in a leadership position professing the killing of babies then those Catholic leaders should announce that their position on abortion has been changed to be in alignment with Pelosi (and Biden).
Pelosi is a f-ing botox and martini addicted clown. She is like a 3rd rate b-grade villain from a cheap-ass 1940s melodrama. In a sane world, people like her would have their backs laid bare and beaten with either rods or leather thongs—but, of course, I’m only speaking theorectically.

- One of “nancy’s” greatest achievements would in time be payoff & blackmail of a certain admiral (CoS of the Navy), to get sprawling and strategically important Presidio out or the hands of the DOD
- Immediately followed by the susequent illegal transfer of CAL state, and federal money, which in the end would be near $1.4 Billion dollars given to her husbands development company (to develope Presidio)
- And the Presidio construction and government protection of the new $100 million dollar home of Gorbachev’s “Global Initiative”, from which nearly all the “Global Warming/Climate Change architecture, (from the original Rio, all the way to current Paris accords), were initially drawn up
- And also the Presidio located headquarters of a number of large, well funded “book publishers”, responsible for books written by politicians (part of a larger money laundering scheme), as well as left wing educational curricula publishers for grade school to post secondary education.
Pelosi, her nephew (then San Fran Mayor Newsom), Feinstein, and the Clintons literally turned Presidio into an anti-American, Moscow/Beijing “beach head”.
Not as important, but Under Clinton, even Chinese AK-47 crates were being offloaded at San Fran and Long Beach. And that at a time when Clinton enforced the “assault weapons” ban!
