This video segment is from "Beyond Is Genesis History? Vol 1 : Rocks & Fossils," the follow-up to our feature-length film where we explore the impact of the global Flood on the Earth. Check it out on our website:

Geologist Steve Austin takes us to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, where he explains how the global Flood of Noah's day is evidenced by an intercontinental erosion surface called the Great Unconformity and the thick layers of sand, shale, and limestone (called the Sauk Sequence) making up the canyon walls.
Dr. Austin is a field research geologist who has done research on six of the seven continents of the world. His research has taken him by helicopter into the crater on Mount St. Helens, by bush plane onto glaciers in Alaska, by raft through the Grand Canyon, on horseback into the high Sierra, by elevator into the world’s deepest coal mines, by SCUBA onto the Great Barrier Reef, by rail into Korean backcountry, by foot onto barren plateaus of southern Argentina, and by four-wheel drive into remote desert areas of Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

The earth isn’t that old though. Plenty of proof for the same.
That’s one of the dumbest posts ever
12,000 years ago the Younger Dryas event occurred and flooded everything.
Apparently someone didn't even make it through 8th grade.

If we are to believe the story of Noah, we have to also believe that all earth animals went into the ark. Now, please tell me how all the animals came, two by two, male and female , across the vast distances across the oceans from Australia where the kangaroos live, or across the mountains for the lonely pangolin and the thousands of other species from around the world not indigenousness from where Noah built his boat.
“Apparently someone didn’t even make it through 8th grade.”
You’re right! I skipped it.
That’s an easy one.
Why don’t you try distant starlight too. That will just blow us out completely! (sarc)
You might try reading the original article and address the point made in the OP. I bet you didn’ read it didja? Didn’t need to, you already know what all those silly Bible thumpers believe dontcha?
If God wanted to destroy all that was wicked and corrupt, why not just wave his hand, like during creation, and just kill them all on the spot. I guess that would be too easy.
If we? Why not if I? I believe in Noah’s ark.
You’ll see soon enough. Now is your chance to avoid that. I know I am being sassy to you, but I genuinely fear for your soul. You may have the last word and I am out after your final.
And if that is your faith, then that is wonderful. But why do people that believe the stories in the bible try so hard to convince others to believe it. I can not believe that all the races in the world from China to Africa to the Polynesian islands and beyond and points in between are all decendents of Noah in the time period of about 4000 years.
see post 30 and change my mind.
No. The Grand Canyon was probably caused by interplanetary electric plasma scaring. Check out “electric universe” and Thunderbolts Project on YouTube.

Read the story about the Tower of Babel. When God separated the people into different languages, I believe He also separated them into races--to underscore their newfound differences.
True, that aspect is not in Scripture, so there is no proof. This is strictly an opinion.
Steve Austin: A man barely alive ...
So the tower of Babel was supposedly built 100 years after the flood, only a hundred years, where did all the people come from to build that if Noah’s family were the only ones to repopulate the earth. This is my problem with the stories in the bible, the timelines just don’t jive. Just like the mark of Cain, so all people would know he killed Able. What people?
God was teaching us lessons with Noah and the flood.
I honestly cannot answer that question definitively.
Just like the mark of Cain, so all people would know he killed Able. What people?
My opinion, again, on this is that no timeframe is specifically mentioned in the Bible about how long they were around before the murder. They could very well have been peacefully herding and farming for decades before it happened. Also, No mention is made--pro or anti--regarding other children and their descendants
A lot of debate has been going on regarding this very question. No definitive answer has been forthcoming.
I will say this--Christian faith is not meant to be reasoned into. Faith is faith. There is enough information out there to allow one to be comfortable in one's faith. However, there is purposefully not enough information to absolutely confirm events, etc. If there were, then there would be no need for faith. God wants us to trust Him in faith. Faith must come first.
