Rapture does not appear in the Bible. But 1 Thess. 4:15,16,17 describes an event that sounds wonderful. It would give me rapture.

Well, to be fair, the word “trinity” is not in the Bible either.

Show me in a credible translation where the word "Trinity" appears in scripture and I'll show you "rapture".

Neither of us can. The Trinity is revealed by studying scripture and recognizing the relationship between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Similarly, studying scripture will also reveal the rapture. However, this study will be more difficult for those whose doctrine does not allow for a rapture such as replacement theology, amillennialism, AD70 fullfilment, etc,.

Having grown up in the Greek faith, I used to ask my Mother about the rapture since it was never talked about in church.

Her answer was we don’t concern ourselves with this and instead focus on the teachings of Christ.

”please tell me where in scripture the word “rapture” appears”

Do you believe that Christmas is real? Yet the word “Christmas” is found nowhere in the Bible. The word “Rapture” is meant to represent the event that is described as God snatching away believers and gathering them to Him.

Where does the trinity appear? It doesn’t, but it is real.

The word “rapture” is from the Latin Vulgate translation of the Bible where the word “rapturo” or “rapio” is used to replace the original Greek word “harpazo”.

The definition of Harpazo is to “seize by force, snatch away, yank violently” - as in, yanking a child out of the way of a speeding train.

The Rapture is 100% scriptural and a pre-Trib rapture is evidenced in multiple ways via the Bible. From Jesus saying He is coming to receive us unto Himself, that where He is, there we may be also. (Notice He isn’t saying He’s coming to stay down here with us at this time) to the obvious explanation given by Paul to the Thessalonians (we are who alive and remain will be caught up “Harpazo” to meet Him in the clouds).

Also, in Revelation ch 4 and 5 - a perusal of those verses plainly shows that the 24 elders represent the raptured church, who are present when the 1st Seal of the Tribulation is opened. Why 24 elders? Well, according to those verses, we will be priests - redeemed from every nation, tongue and tribe by the Blood of the Lamb. In the O.T. the priests were divided into 24 groups. Thus, we will be as well - each of the 24 elders representing a group of priests.

We are to be looking for that blessed hope, as Paul told Titus. Occupying and redeeming our time until the Bridegroom comes for His Bride. :-) Maranatha!

Thank you for your service and may the Most High God bless you and yours with His abundant Grace.

“I believe every word of scripture, please tell me where in scripture the word “rapture” appears.”

I can’t believe anyone would actually post that here.

How old are you twelve? What’s your IQ, 12?

What a lame, infantile statement that proves NOTHING!

Go back and read your bible. Forget the “word search” and look for TRUTH.

Rapture is just a word someone made up to convey circumstances clearly depicted in the bible.

You don’t believe in heaven? If you do, how are you going to get there? Uber? Rocket? Magic underpants? How about “rapture”?
