There is a school of thought that holds that what enraged God to bring about the flood was the blasphemous mixing of “kinds” such as the angel-human hybrids (nephilim) and the creation of chimeras (animal-human hybrids) as described in the book of Enoch
Man’s sin and wickedness was bad enough but this was the final straw.
