I’d like to see a more objective assessment of this ‘cancelling’ and whether or not it’s really a problem. Is it just a peculiarity with extreme bishops like Malloy and Cupich? Is it only a few dioceses? How many actual priests have been dismissed in the last year, 5 years, 10 years? What are these priests doing in their daily lives? Have they been removed as pastors or actually had revoked faculties?
