I like watching Sergei Baklykov’s videos of Moscow and St. Petersburg and other parts of Russia. St. Petersburg looks like an awesome city.
One day, I would love to do the Trans-Siberian Trip from Moscow to Vladivostok.
I have a habit of looking at cities that appear in the news, or have some relevance to me, and spending some time “driving” through them on Google street-view.
Russian cities are all large and spacious, they have a lot of green space, much of the architecture is ugly/Soviet, and they are absolutely clean and well-ordered. Not a spec of garbage or detritus to be found
The Russians/Soviets do monuments right. Every major city seems to have elaborate one honoring those that died in WWII.
Yakutsk looks like an interesting place in Siberia. A lot of YouTubers have done videos from there. It's minus 30 to minus 50 F there in the winter.
